I thought Nomadland was good too, DB. A deserving Academy Award winner I reckon.

Lion (2016)

I was just amazed by this film. I can't believe it. It was one of the best films I think I've ever seen. And I want to say I loved it. But it was so gut wrenching and heart breaking that it feels weird to say "I loved it".

If you have not seen this film yet, then do it now.

We followed this incredible film with...

The Last Word (2008)

What an incredibly boring film. And just stupid. A man that helps people write suicide notes meets a woman at his clients funeral and they start a relationship. It's his clients sister, cos that isnt weird at all. Of course he lies about his job to his new GF.. How it has a 40% approval rating is beyond me.

After the Pies game today I took the wonder poodle for a walk and grabbed a large tinny at the grog shop Got home and channel surfed and the original Terminator came on. They should rename Maynard that because he never gives up.

Well, I did it.

After previously seeing "A Dogs Purpose", I finally watched the sequel "A Dogs Journey".

I've had 4 dogs in my life; Mitchell (1986-2002), Oliver (2009-2019), Bailey (2009-current) and Morris (unknown birth year, but had since 2018-current).

Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

A Dog's Journey (2019)

Those opening scenes are gut wrenching. However, the rest of the film is actually not as sad as the first one. It has a poor rating on rotten tomatoes, but it's a good film if you can handle the sad parts.

Eight Below (2006)

Well I thought this was going to be a happy dog movie from Disney. Turned out to be a survival film. I still thought it was a really good film except for 2 parts. If you've seen it then you know what I mean.

I'm not actually sure how I came to watch this, but I watched CHIP's. The 2017 movie inspired by the old 70-80's TV series.

As far as I could figure, it had precisely 3 things in common with the TV series.

1. The title
2. The main characters answered to the names John and Ponch
3. It was set in the California Highway Patrol.

It has 18% on Rotten Tomatoes, but reviews are quite mixed.

It was dumb, often crass, but occasionally funny and unlike the remake of Point Break, I actually enjoyed it.

Just watched Simone Barbès or Virtue last night, a 1980s French comedy about two women working as ushers in a porn theatre. One of the best films I've seen for a while! You can watch the whole thing here with (barely comprehensible) English subtitles, if you're interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfMLog4YHDk

I've seen the ads for the Space Jam remake with LeBron, spotted the original the other night and gave that a watch again.

Thoroughly enjoyed it.
