Smart phones and social media have come light years since '99. No way they could have had a meeting in such a public place and it not have been snapped.
If such a meeting was to happen, it would be at a privet property.

I agree, you only have to look back at the issues that popped up after Buckley was supposedly caught visiting Lynch and suddenly he got cold feet over Collingwood.
But a lot of potential recruits do often first get noticed as they get seen touring a clubs facilities or meeting with someone. |

In this day and age there is nothing wrong with speaking to other employers to see what else is out there. How many times have we had players from other teams tour our facilities who didn't come.

In response to something that probably didn’t happen, you refer to something that did happen and has been publically acknowledged by the parties involved as happening, and people don’t believe you!

Obviously this rumour is still speculation.
What is interesting is that the timing fits very well with Kennett's quote that:
"About three weeks ago our coach, Alistair Clarkson, approached his direct report and head of football Rob McCartney, and suggested that, given what had occurred at Collingwood, maybe the time had arrived when we at Hawthorn should consider the club's position regarding our future coaching needs".
Very interesting indeed.

Yes in’99 the year mm‘s contract was finishing & the same year he told WC he wanted to go back to Vic.
Completely different to Clarckson who is still contracted for Next year. |

Do Wrighty and Clarko get on?
Do they want to work together again?
Does Wrighty reckon Clarko is the man for the job?
