I’m interested in Ash Johnson when he gets a go. Most of his video clips were him taking hangers in forward 50. If he can be a marking option and solidify his spot there Darcy may spend more ruck time
It will also be interesting with Grundy back as I thought Lynch was better tap to mids advantage than Grundy. Grundy for mine more effective around ground which is Cameron strong suit also

Fit them all in —our not ??????

As I said a few pages ago, play Lynch for the rest of the season and see what he has at the highest level.

So far, so good.... eh?

As I pointed out his tap gr8. was running at back of pack. Then jumped up and tapped over the pack to Jordan De Goey who deftly fed it to Beau for the Don’t Argue goal

Thing was the pack had formed and no one expected what Lynch did which tells me he has some footy smarts

Yes I would keep playing him. Whether they do or not I know not

Ha ha...Actually for a 7 ft tall player Cox is quite athletic, much more than Sandilands ever was. His main problem is he doesn't read the game or the ball well enough in the air. That's simply because no aspect of the game comes natural to him.

I've come to a similar conclusion regards Cox.
He's a fine athlete. He's a competitor. He's a team player.

However, as a late convert to AFL, aspects of the game elude him.
Judging the flight of the ball, bodywork, how to successfully stage for a free kick (without making it obvious) etc. he struggles with.

I still think that he can make a contribution but, clearly, he is a player with limitations and it may be too late in the day to address these.

That is why the best position to play him in was ruck.

Our club tried to make him master the hardest position on the ground, instead of one of the easiest.

We recruited him 3 years after Grundy

If Cox isn't selected this week, May and Lever will simply do as they please, grinning like the Cheshire Cat at their ease of uncontested marks inside our F50.

And thus the heat on Buckley will go up to Kelvin levels...

And you will think we will suddenly cease and desist on this practice after it has been our Modus Operandi all season? Razz

Instead, we should lower our eyes and aim at Billy Elliott's chest. Do that, and Lever and May will be left for dead.

Melbourne will be smart enough to park a player in Elliott's leading path.
He won't have the space to move that Crows allowed him.
It would be unwise to expect him to reproduce that goal haul again.
We need Cox firing if the ball must go over Elliott's head...

Or have multiple unpredictable avenues and a will to win.

Might be giving him a run for trade value, Dockers are a potential suitor

^ This. Time to move on from this experiment.

Cameron is worth persisting with. We also need to kind a proper key forward whether it's from another club or through the draft.

Today for a quarter and a half were Cox Concious to the detrement of Cameron

What didn’t they see last game with Lynch winning his share and Darcy the prominent forward

Have a look powers that be.

Not sure why BB. But we certainly looked like a AFL caliber team.
