Congratulations to Jack Crisp, winner of his second Gavin Brown Medal. He joins Dane Swan (six times), Scott Pendlebury (three times), Taylor Adams (twice) and Brodie Grundy (twice) as a multiple winner.

Scott Pendlebury finishes second for no less than the seventh time, making it his tenth top-two finish altogether (all in the past thirteen years). A testament to his incredible consistency and durability over his career. He was also the equal best player of the finals series, tying with Jordan De Goey on 10 votes (narrowly beating out Darcy Moore and Jack Crisp, who finished on 9 each).

Josh Daicos caps off his best ever season by finishing third, more than doubling his highest previous vote tally (18, in 2020).

Jordan De Goey finishes fourth, a fair effort considering he missed over a quarter of the season through injury.

And finishing fifth – and, needless to say, being our best first-year player by a mile – is Nick Daicos. I haven't checked, but I have no doubt that his 30 votes are far and away the highest tally by a player in their first season in the history of the GB Medal. Special mention to Ash Johnson and Josh Carmichael for also polling in their debut seasons, while Patrick Lipinski, Jack Ginnivan and Nathan Murphy received their first ever GB Medal votes.

And last but a long way from least, this year’s Donut King award for most matches without a single vote goes to Beau McCreery, who played 22 matches without recognition. I really can't think of a less deserving winner of this particular award – let's try to give him some more attention next year, please!

Thanks as always to everyone who voted this year. Smile

Thank you David
Congratulations Crispy awesome season
I think the top 10 will remain the same but got a gut feeling Lipinski and Elliott may poll better in Copeland than on nicks

Noble in top 10 big improvement for him to be better than fellow defenders like Howe and Moore who are not suited to the McRae game style.

I don’t know how much to read into that to be honest – all of Moore’s 12 votes came in our last four matches, but I don’t particularly remember his form changing or him playing a different style or anything. It’s just like we suddenly remembered he existed. Generally speaking, I think defenders playing higher up the ground will always tend to attract more votes.

Thanks David.

Always reminded by these counts that my own tendency is to under-award those consistently good players probably because your expectation of a minimum standard is much higher. I often find myself only giving them votes when they are well above their own usual high output...

Maynard a funny one - AA, yet only #8 for us
Pretty hard to believe that Elliot had the same output this season as Grundy!
Maligned as he is, Nicksters have looked after Noble
