Surely after what happened with this girl earlier in the year players would have avoided her like the plague.
BTW, there's an injunction on her by St Kilda now. (and we shouldn't think our players are immune)
I think this story really is a case study into the "power" of the new soial media.

For the legal eagles out there - on what grounds can she be stopped if the photo's were taken with consent (as appears) and she owns them?

DEFAMATION 101 - wish I was representing them. It appears to be open and shut. If proof is made they have been injured in reputation by publishing these images , whether it be in the media or on a blog, then this would be heavily on the minds of the players litigation team. Also, they may not have been published with the subjects consent (thats a given perhaps?!). So they may have been taken with consent but not intended for publication at the time.
At them moment, from what I understand, the alleged perpetrator has been asked to withdraw (sorry) any further or current publications.
The defendant, if charged in this instance, will also more than likely be targeted for damages. There are high profile precedents here in this country, for sports people and also non famous people. That NSW Rugby player, Andrew Ethinghouse or something, cant remember his surname.
Channel 7 - I didn't see the story, but I imagine the faces were covered by pixelation. They may still have to answer, but I can't give my opinion sight unseen, or how the journalist reported the detail.
The defence may argue that the person, if charged, may plead statutory defence of mental impairment. Think I might leave that one alone for now. Let's see how it all pans out.

hmmmm..........there is still the issue of causing ridicule and permission to publish. Interesting that most media ask people to fill out a release if they are to publish such items. But if she as the owner or supposed owner signed a release then it could fall back on her in total. And if they took them from the public domain, then they are reporting from that domain, not created by them.

Hopefully we have just the one representative , if they do end up coming out now.
