OK. I'll take a stab at it.

Grundy for Dougal Howard, Sam Powell-Pepper & Port's first pick in the draft. That seems fair.

I just threw up in my mouth a little.

You reckon we could get more for him then? Great

Who'd you have in mind?

Grundy to Port.
Port's soul to GWS
GWS to Collingwood, Jeremy cameron, Corr, haynes and Whitfield plus their first round pick.

I'd consider that trade.,

Grundy for Jeremy Cameron would be a fair trade for both sides.

People seem to forget, Brodie isn’t simply just a ruckman.

He is also a prolific ball winner.

It’s like having an extra mid.

Sign him at all costs.

This.
Who knows how the game will evolve over the next few years? Who knows how the role of a ruckman will change??
All we can say, is that Brodie Grundy, with his incredible tank and athletic talent, has the greatest abilility of any ruckman currently playing, to adapt to whatever role the future might hold. Sign him quick smart for the long term.

People talking as if Grundy is the greatest player in the league, what’s he done? Premiership? Nope. Brownlow? Lol

If you were offered Cameron, Lynch, Martin, Brown or Fyfe you’d trade him in an instant.

Bit hard to win a brownlow when the umpires are giving the likes of Neale, Prestia, Treloar etc votes for 10 ineffectual kicks out of 20 and 20 give and go 5 to 2 metre handballs. Brownlow was more real when the umpires DIDN'T look at the stats. You could get votes in any position then.

Do you think the following players are worthy of 5 or 7 year contracts and/or at or near $1 million a year ?

Tim Kelly, Don Prestia, Nat Fyffe, Patrick Dangerfield or Marcus Bontempelli - all had between 151 - 139 Clearances - Grundy had 146

Dylan Shiel, Patrick Dangerfield, Ed Curnow, Brad Crouch - had between 112 - 104 Tackles - Grundy had 104.

Ed Curnow, Josh Kelly, Lachie Whitfield, Shane Edwards, Joel Selwood - had between 526 - 489 disposals - Grundy had 511

Grundy
1st in Hitouts
1st in Frees For
7th in Contested possessions
Missed 6 games in the last 5 seasons

Grundy is not only a ruckman but another midfielder as well - averaging over 21 possessions a game - better than Joel Selwood, Jack Viney, Brandon Ellis, Matt Suckling, Heath Shaw, Trent Cotchin, Christian Petracca - by all means give him 7 years. Just put a clause that he must play XX number of games a year or over 7 years to earn X amount of dollars.

Grundy is a very special player and hopefully we can keep him but I’d swap him for Cameron in a heartbeat.

Not sure if giving him 7 years will bite us later as it did with Cloke after 4 of his 5 years.

There should be some clauses included to minimise any potential issue when the contract nears it end.

Why this obsession to lose Grundy (a star) to gain another star? Richmond lost nobody for Lynch.

Our list management capabilities are somewhat questionable.

At least Eddie Smith specified what Grundy would be worth in a trade. Most of the posters on here can't even come up with an example.
