I too would have liked Ginnivan to have been selected in the 22 but I see no value in him being retained as the medical sub. What if he doesn’t play ?
Then it’s just a wasted week of no footy at any level, especially since the VFL only came back last week.
So on that basis and as a “ specialist “ forward pocket, I would be surprised if he is medical sub. The medical sub needs some flexibility simply because the club obviously has no idea as to who could cop an injury on the day.
My best guess would be Ruscoe as the sub. He still misses footy of course but he is versatile and is a little more experienced at that level. I guess we will find out soon enough and I would be happy to be proven wrong ( providing Ginnivan was to get some game time on the day )

Geez, I hope Henry goes alright. The kid oozes talent, but has looked petrified and out of his depth in each of his previous senior games. I was kinda hoping the club would allow him to gain confidence in the VFL the remainder of this season, then allow him to bulk up a bit over the pre-season in readiness for a serious crack at senior footy next year. Still, I guess the coaches must think he's ready now. I hope he has a good crack.

We need to stick to playing Kelly now, so that he can settle into the seniors, as we clearly will need him for the next 10 yrs.

Pies by 17 points.

I’m confident Henry will be fine player IN TIME.
What we need to wrap our heads around with Henry, is that he is not a mid fielder. He’s a lead up forward, so his fortunes depend entirely upon what’s happening up the ground. Body strength and holding his position are so important to him maximising his talents, so I wouldn’t have any expectations until 2023 at the earliest.
McInnes will be another one in that mould. Youngest player in the draft, missed so much footy and not “ trained up “ in the midfield ( but ultimately suited to that role ) He’s also a couple more pre seasons away from making any impact.
It will happen but it won’t happen over night.

I know we haven't had a lot to celebrate this year, but defeating Richmond when they're fighting for a top 8 spot would be a great highlight for the whole club.

I hope the players see an opportunity to inflict significant damage on a big rival.

Hope Harvey just tells the guys to go out there and give it a mighty crack. Don't worry if you mistake, just take the game on.
If he says anything else, we don't stand a chance.

Yep they should just have a red hot go. Play hard footy as we have nothing to lose. Get tough and take no prisoners. Fire up and go in hard. Love to see that tomorrow irrespective of whether we win or lose.
