It will all depend on who is fit to play, and how fit the ones that do actually are.

Surely Armstrong would have stronger claims for a run MB?

Or maybe we should find out where Corrie is keeping himself nowadays! Wink

Clarke's VFL form has been superior to Armstrong's. Besides, the defence is shaky enough without throwing in a bloke who gives his man 20 metres of space on top of it...

You're all assuming Adams will be suspended - hopefully the match committee agree with the rest of the world that Selwood is still carrying negative points for all his ducking tactics and is therefore fair game. Then again, Adams may just have to get used to being in the black and white stripes = 10 weeks for looking sideways.

People forget that we've played teams 2,3 and 4 from last year in the first three weeks. If we can put that sort of pressure onto Richmond (and they wont pressure us as much IMO) then we will look a LOT better, less fumbles, more direct and we will win comfortably.

If we drop off (consistency is not the hall mark of young teams, especially ones with unstable sides due to injury / suspension) then we may get done. But I suspect it'll be the former and we'll win handsomely.

Richmond aren't a bad team, but they're not Freo / Sydney or Geelong.

Out:Blair
In:Kennedy

Out:Adams (susp) or Dwyer (inj)
In:Witts

*If Adams and Dwyer are both set to miss then Thomas comes in.

bucks needs to play lynch!!! have grundy as the main ruck, and then have lynch or white as 2nd ruck, and at same time having 2 tall forwards. grunduy will then be able to spend time up forward or on bench while we still have the talls out there.

adams is likely to miss this game due to mrp

cloke needs help up forward and grundy needs help in ruck. lynch can fill both roles. witts is not ready to have a impact at afl yet.

I'd prefer Witts over Lynch. Needs to start playing some games, but it will depend on the Tigers lineup. Their rucks are Hampson and Vickery at the moment? Neither are giants and both are decent movers.

I still think we need to give Witts a go. Didn't really work against the Dockers, but it was the best two rucks have looked for us in the last couple of years. White is definitely mobile enough to be a third tall, in fact he's more suited to that role than second tall.

The other option is not to bring in another ruck but to give White and Keeffe more time on the ball. Could work against a team that doesn't have a great ruck combination and means we could keep the extra runner.

Turns out the Tigers rucks are actually Stephenson and Griffiths. Grundy's a good matchup for Griffiths and Witts shouldn't be too afraid of Stephenson, possibly would have played on him in the VFL.

I'd go for it. Two rucks. No need for Lynch. Richmond still have Vickery as a third option and we have White or Keeffe to go with him. I think those matchups will be fine.

Against Freo both Witts and Grundy had over 10 disposals and over 10 hit outs. It was a decent performance, certainly no reason to shy away from repeating the selection.

I'll wait & see how things pan out with injuries and the MRP before suggesting too many changes.

Witts, Kennedy, & Thomas likely the players in line for promotion. Will Reid be available this week?

Been saying this, but getting shot down for it. Two talls structure does not work.

How is Two talls structure broken?

I think most of us agree, for some games, at least, but we're looking to Witts more than Lynch as the extra tall.

Reason why I keep pushing Lynch's case is because he has one asset that Witts doesn't have - forward smarts. He knows where to lead. He won't get in Cloke's way.

Witts on the other hand doesn't have this, showing his best form in the VFL as the #1 ruck.
