Anthony Rocca was a good pick up from the Swans.

If Sam wasn't Ben's brother, I doubt this would be a thread

No thanks. The Reid brothers are like the Brown brothers. They get too many injuries.

Another good trade was dual copeland trophy winner Paul Licuria.

And we gave them Robbie Ahmat.

We have done a decent amount of trading with the Swans. And whether the deal's ended up being in one or other team's favour, from what I remember they have, at least, tended to be professionally worked out. Not like dealing with Port (maybe more Mark Williams), Ross Lyon or Carlton.

Trading with Sydney is never easy. Anyone got a list of out past trades with the Swans?

A Rocca

Edit: I must read all the posts before quoting. So I'll add Barry Mitchell to that list.

premiership year

Cloke/dawes/l brown/jolly/n brown/presti/reid/maxwell/Anthony/Fraser/okeefe = 10 talls

2014 Season

Grundy/Maxwell/Witts/Brown/White/Lynch/Keeffe/Cloke/Frost/Reid = 10 talls

2015 Season

Grundy/Witts/Brown/White/Keeffe/Cloke/Frost/Reid/scharenberg = 9 Talls

We are actually 1 Tall short for next year, with the retirement of Maxxy and Lynch will most likely be gawn.

Both Reid's can Swing back and forward.
How many times last year did we say "wish we could keep reid back, and put him forward"
Now we can!!

Would be nice to have 2 Ben Reids, we could rotate them between the team and the medical rooms.

Don't think we need to go out trading just yet, Moore is on the radar and this years draft apparently has some good tall talent.

It would be nice to have one Ben Reid!

His ongoing injuries are a worry.

I just don't get this obsession that Reid has a history of long term injuries. I may be wrong but I believe this is the first real long term injury he's had.

Actually we have a pretty decent record when it comes to trading with the swans.

Jolly and White in recent years come to mind.

Still I don't think Sam will be on our radar until FA kicks in, even then that's years away and more likely to not occur than occur.

Good player but would cost us one or two of those in return.

My memory is it's quite one way, Jolly and White excepted although White needs more than 9 games to be a good pickup..

We've sent a few their way:

Schauble
Williams
Davis
Shaw

Off the top of my head and have a recollection of them trading a bloke to us who'd lost interest in footy and never showed.

That assumes Maxy retires and that we don't draft Moore. Also doesn't assume Marsh has any development. And you include Scharenberg but exclude Karnezis and Oxley... just a tad flawed.

Not sure how many he has missed thru injury since he started. I'm sure someone will fill us in on that.

Since establishing himself in 2010...

2010 - 21 games played
2011 - 24
2012 - 20
2013 - 22

Well I stand corrected. They're pretty solid numbers.

I'm not saying he's a man of steel but as you say, they're solid numbers.

I think he had more issues early in his career, didn't he? We didn't see much of him for the first three years, even though his potential was clear from day one.
