We'll be playing Hawthorn if West Coast lose

The WC would need to lose .8 of a percent, for that to eventuate.

80-100 loss has Eagles dropping to 118% so about a goal loss drops them below Pies and about a 2 goal loss drops them below Hawks.

Possible scenarios

West Coast (2nd) v Collingwood (3rd) (Perth)
- West Coast beat Brisbane by any margin.

Collingwood (2nd) v Hawthorn (3rd) (MCG)
- West Coast lose.
- If West Coast lost 90-91 for example, they'd drop to under 120%.

Collingwood v West Coast at the MCG is pretty much impossible from my understanding.

1 point loss puts West Coast 4th.

You lot do realise both Collingwood and Hawthorn lost % today winning their games? So of course it won’t take much for WC to drop .8

Any loss drops the Eagles behind both us and Hawks, unless the final scored are 41-40 or lower.

Plus pies 2nd and Wc 3rd.

Unless very low scoring any loss will drop Eagles percentage below ours.

More than a goal or two loss may drop them below Hawks.

Yes, it's all clear now:

WCE win by any margin or draw and they get home final; lose by any margin and we get home final.

That's correct.
Our only options are away to Eagles or home to Hawks.

Which is our preferred option?

Had Swans won we could have played Eagles here, but that aint happening now.

Only mathematical. Not a realistic chance. Eagles would need to lose to Brisbane but keep them to 41 or less. Not going to happen.

Yeah, agreed. Would need to be that low scoring which is unlikely.

What’s the forecast in Brisbane???

Sydney losing cost us the dream scenario.

Still Hawthorn at the G is a better potential outcome.

Tough choice if we had the choice.

Isn’t there a bit of rain around Brisbane this weekend. WCE is on 120.76% compared to us 120.42%. They lose and we play Hawks most likely on Friday night, they win and we are back at OS most likely on a Thursday night.

Don’t think we have ever won on a Thursday night so go LIONS.

The rain is only a mathematical possiblity.

I don't fancy playing the dawks, our record against them is utter shit, we have struggled with them for yrs, hope we don't have to play them first up.
