I agree with Rude, and i will add i find the hubris of the assumption that we are going to just WIN a bit disturbing... in finals no such thing as a easy match.

Well, how about cutting the author some slack before accusing them of being arrogant and one of the reasons we're hated? Mind you, coming from someone who frequently comes in proclaiming we're going win the flag, I also find your comment "Let's just beat the Giants first" a bit rich!

If we beat Richmond then it's the Eagles at the G for me as a Melbourne side good enough to win a preliminary final over in the West is good enough to beat us.
The 4 sides left now are the best of the year but only Collingwood and Melbourne can beat Richmond in Melbourne IMO so if we can't take out Richmond I hope the Demons can stay alive.
Anyone but Richmond is my motto.

Surprised that people would prefer West Coast (against whom we’re 0-2 this year) over Melbourne (who we beat easily on Queen’s Birthday). Yes, the Demons have momentum and obviously we’re not guaranteed to beat anyone, but I think we have their measure. Eagles I’m not so sure about.

I would definitely prefer to meet Melbourne in the GF.
The wiggles, as much as I can't stand them, are such an X factor team. They've been pretty good.... better than Melbourne, by a long way.
The win the d's had over here, was a very lucky one. No Kennedy and lost Darling early.
I can't see Melbourne getting within 5 goals of them this time..... let's hope the footy gods are smiling on the D's.... we would smash them in the GF.

Nah if we play the Demons they'll be the fairy tale story just like Richmond and the Western Bulldogs.
I don't like that omen.
Play West Coast however and we get the happily ever after ending.

It’s going to be a toasty 25 degrees in Perth tomorrow and they are playing at 1.30 Perth time. Let’s just hope they smash each other.
If we are looking for omens well the last 2 years the team knocking out GWS has won the flag.
