Quarter time thoughts:

I've lost a bit of faith in Howes kicking. He couldn't find a target in the GF and he is missing them tonight.

Love his marking. Love lots about his game and commitment to the club. I've just felt like his kicking (finding targets) has dropped off.

Overall, i thought we played well. WCE is an excellent team, and no one was able to dominate.We made a couple of errors that cost goals, but they did as well. I thought our tackling pressure was excellent.I think JDG is BOG at the moment.Mayne also playing very well. And welcome back, Tay.Our midfield has been strong.Time to put the foot down and unleash the power.

Need to convert more and punish sides pies should be another goal in front and extend leads too I expect pies up 30 points up half time

I think the big takeaway from that quarter is that we kept them to 1 goal from 13 inside 50s. Last year, they looked like scoring every time they got into the front half of the ground.

As for McGovern, I seriously wonder if Tommy should go to him as a defensive forward - he reads the game better than McGovern and will be able to keep with him.
