Whoever thinks Maxwell is doing a good job as culture manager has rocks in their head.

He's got to go!

And you know what? There'll probably be more minor scandals like this over the coming years. The world will keep turning, lessons will be learned and the club's onfield performance will in most cases be unaffected. C'est la vie.

Firing the whole club and having no players or coaches or administrators isn't likely to help much (I'm not saying that is what the OP wants), but what lessons do you claim have been learned?

If it is more of the same every year, as you think, that just means more failure.

Maybe the real problem is that unprofessionalism can spread through a whole club from the top down.

There'll always be scandals and player stuff-ups at Collingwood because it's Collingwood. We sell papers, we keep "journalists" employed and in fact we're probably responsible for their retirement plans too, that's how much they get out of reporting on us. Any other club, wouldn't even be a whimper. But Collingwood, yeah front page news! So our players, see their mates at other clubs doing the same shit but not getting made public, so they think they can get away with it -- but Collingwood is different, there's a long line of people who love to have a shot at us over anything that's deemed not acceptable in today's Age of Outrage. It sucks, but our players need to act like they're a spy in a foreign land.
