Someone from left field will have to play out of their skin..like a Varcoe, WHE, Stevo and/or Treloar

I just don't understand the selection of Cameron... if you're wanting to neutralize McGovern it's not gonna work. We led by 5 goals in the Granny from running the ball inside the fifty and lost because we chose to kick long to targets.

Eagles by 40. We haven't played attacking footy since Round 3 so I don't see a 14 day break changing that.

Only reason I give us a shot, if we win the clearances (centre ones)

Weagles red hot, and thats how i like it, all the pressure on them, not us, as nobody expects us to win, even many here. It wont be like last time, they had all the luck, and kicked goals out of their arses, that wont happen again. We have a different side in too, and there has to be doubt over fitness of ageing Kennedy and McGovern, hit and bump those two bastards hard, give them pain, real pain. IF, our forwards can extract the digit, and our centres, we can and will take it right up to these pricks, they are not the side of two yrs ago, they are ageing and vulnerable. We have won over there before, like last year. Our backs are to the wall, this is made for us, for a typical grinding Magpie upset, Footy is littered with big upsets, so who knows ?

Lets checkmate these buggers by 11 points. ! Go Woods !!

See i get the hope, and the positivity. Anything is possible....but in the last home and away game. We were all over Port for patches ...and for all that hard work we achieved almost nothing on the score board (been our problem the last few years). For all intents it was this same line-up....i just can't se where our 180 degree turn of form is going to come from....two weeks break???

^^^^From improved disposal into F50 and more accurate goal kicking. Like Brisbane last night. And while on that, Richmond did something they don't do often. They WON the centre clearances......and LOST. Centre clearances aren't what they're cracked up to be.

Forward disposal and goal kicking.

That's all.

Oh....and not getting into a handball panic chain.

Pies by 3 pts.

I'd rather have centre clearances +5 than -11 like Port Adelaide's game

He is on the emergency bench, so there is a glimmer of hope

I fear our season finishes tonight.

I would be more confident if the game wasnt in Perth.

I suspect the Eagles will beat the Cats next week too.

I will not be surprised to see Grundy playing much more in and under in this game. He may even appear at centre bounces as a pure midfielder (hence the inclusion of Darcy Cameron to relieve in the ruck. Who care's if he's not good enough - Nic Nat will probably dominate whoever the Pies put up). Grundy may also go forward or back and will cause chaos and confusion among the Eagles wherever he goes because he will destroy their match ups.
I haven't bought into the story that Grundy has been playing injured all year. This is not to say he's not carrying some sort of injury - show me a player that isn't sore at this time of year. No, he would have been under team orders to play in a restricted capacity as a ruck so he can survive the home and away season (with all those punishing short breaks between games) through to finals.
Well the finals are here now. And its time for Grundy to be taken off the leash.
Go Pies! (by 20 pts)

With Cameron, Mihocek and Cox up forward, it allows us to start with De Goey in the mid field, which is where the game will be won or lost. I'm hoping we forget about playing Stephenson as a winger/high forward, but play him out of the goal square where he played such terrific football in his first year. Let him use his pace and smarts against the stronger but slower Eagles defenders.

Pies by 17 points.

These low scoring games can be done by one breakout performance. Let it please be De Goey, Stevo or Checkers and not Kennedy, Darling or Ryan.

^ JdG likes playing WC. He should kick 3 goals. But maybe more than that is required.
