I have zero issue with him going home...al the players will be on holidays in a week or two anyway.
I think a few are being a tad hard on the young guy. He is a tall guy he is always going to take longer. Dane Swan was almost delistee and was hopeless for his first few years.

Swanny wasn't focussed enough on his football though back then, preferred to go out drinking, clubs, chicks etc.

There is player welfare and there is taking the piss. Going home 3 weeks early reeks of the malaise that we find ourselves in. Lunatics running the asylum. Part of team sport is the ethos of "team". Yes there can be flexibilities for warranted circumstances but staggering that a girlfriend in Ireland qualifies as a warranted circumstance.
