ideally interstate.

but i do not fear Demons at all and i think we can beat them well and proper come QF week 1 in finals.

Melbourne are gettng ahead of themselves and might not even make 4th.

Theres a chance we play the dogs at the mcg as well.

As long as we win week 1 of finals have a nice week off and play a prelim at the mcg.

i think week 1 is the week that sets up September.

Last year week 1 screwed us up and cost us a place in the GF.

Melb losing to Syd at the MCG screwed us up

So with top spot just about locked in and Melbourne bottling it, looks like we’ll be playing either Melbourne or Port Adelaide week 1.

So, who is your preference?

Melbourne could still finish 2nd if we knock off the Lions next week.

Not with Grundy playing they won’t, plus they’ve got Sydney in Sydney last game whilst Brisbane play St Kilda at the GABBA.

But Brisbane would almost be favourites next week, it’s pretty much a second home game for them against us this year.

^ Fair points.

If Brisbane finish top 2, then it's likely they'll play in the GF. Can't see them losing at the Gabba in either a Qualifying or Prelim Final.

Hardly matters. Collingwood will win its QF by 12-14 goals. The ‘pies haven’t been out of 2nd gear for weeks.

Could be Carlton yet.

If Port lose their last 3 (GWS, Freo, Richmond)

AND

If Carlton win their last 2 (Gold Coast, GWS).

I voted Port as playing Melb wouldn’t give us the home ground advantage as playing Port would.

The other consideration is the other team would be our likely prelim opponent.

If Port lose 1 of their last 3, pretty much means we play them. However if they win all 3 it’s Melbourne unless we beat the Lions then we play them.

As mentioned above, there’s a far from negligible chance we play Brisbane (if Port and Melbourne win their remaining games and we beat Brisbane next week – which sounds like a lot, but is a fairly plausible outcome if you look at their respective draws).

Really don't care. If we're good enough, we'll beat anyone, simple as that. Gotta say though, it would be much more satisfying beating a Victorian based club

As long as it ain’t Carlton, I hold no fear.

Forgive me for the Blues have scarred me many a times as a youngster & I am suffering PTSD from it.
My Doctor tells me the only way to cure this is to beat them by a big margin on GF Day.

Port have lost their last four. They have injuries to important players.
Reckon there’s a bigger chance we play them than some would think and that’s probably our best outcome.
