I almost forgot to mention that Bulldogs were 8.7.55. You have 8.6.54 listed and that is not correct. _________________ Gavin Brown.. Collingwood lifting..Right on the boundary line, back to Milane likewise... DAICOS nearly runs out of room........ GOAL |

He also did the 2016 GF where they handed the Dogs the game so anti Pies + loves the Dogs = disaster
But he wasn't the worst, no 37 Andre, I don't think he paid us a single free kick but paid at least 3 or 4 as no2 umpire against us. Think he may also have been the one who tried to give the Dogs the ball when another umpire called a free to us then held onto the ball until the Dogs could flood back! Also paid the free kick as no2 that no one included any of the players involved in the contest knew what it was for or who it was going to! |

They are a good football side, and we showed incredible grit that day. Last night was different but similar. Catch-up football against the tide of the umpiring is hard. These types of victories are the ones that weld a side together and make it believe. |
Whilst our losses to GWS and Geelong look worse and worse... |

gws were close to full strength (apart from injuries in the game) and in super form (albeit it was round 2) when we played them. And of course we were two down with Broomhead and Moore during the game. Moore plays the last quarter and we win and comfortably in my opinion.
That doesn’t look like a bad loss to me. _________________ Go Pies! |

Buckley over the coaching tenure not prone to making changes during matches
But I suspect the mantra nowadays is consultation —-he would have the final say❓ _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

First quarter was deplorable and the umpiring - pathetic, but once we started to play the game on our terms we gradually regained control and momentum which wore them down in the end. The dogs play a very ugly brand of football which I think we got suckered into in the first half. Many of the umpiring decisions went their way which didn't help either. Many of our tackles went unrewarded while they benefited from dubious decisions. There's definitely a bias against us. 3 scumps on the field all oblivious to what's happening. Decisions being over ruled by a scump 50 mentres away whose guide dog saw something the other one's guide dog didn't. |

We were missing our entire first choice forward line, it was amazing we even got close. I'd said before the game that a win would have been a miracle. And yet, we thoroughly outplayed them until the in game injuries.
It's one of the games that most markedly showed our improvement this year - we no longer rely on individual forwards being available. Last year we really relied on Elliott and to a lesser extent Fasolo being available. _________________ Well done boys! |

Watching the replay today I cannot help but applaud the way two players (hey they aren’t only ones) in this side have taken a big big step.
Two guys who have improved our defence out of all sight
Jack Crisp and Matt Scharenberg—two different styles with one object
The team first. Just love what I’m seeing _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

That was a most enjoyable second half!
I know it was only a battling Footscray but we do look pretty damn good when we get it together. With some luck & form at the right end of the season,... anything is possible in 2018. |
