Correction on my last post. 7/20.

Now 8/20, as Starc (4/33) takes the last.

Fall of wickets:
1-20 (Imam-ul-Haq, 12.1 ov),
2-170 (Abdullah Shafique, 71.2 ov),
3-214 (Azhar Ali, 86.4 ov),
4-248 (Fawad Alam, 106.3 ov),
5-256 (Mohammad Rizwan, 110.2 ov),
6-264 (Sajid Khan, 113.4 ov),
7-268 (Nauman Ali, 115.1 ov),
8-268 (Hasan Ali, 115.5 ov),
9-268 (Babar Azam, 116.1 ov),
10-268 (Naseem Shah, 116.4 ov)

You can take your pick between the last 4 wickets for 0, the last 5 for 4, the last 6 for 12, the last 7 for 20 or the last 8 for 54.

Remarkable stuff.

Stumps. Australia 0/11. Special K 7*, Warner 4*. This is a HUGE partrnership, already - bigger than the previous 7 in the match.

Quote:
4 Runs added by Pakistan for the loss of their last five wickets in Lahore, the fewest for Pakistan in a Test innings while losing their last five wickets. Their previous fewest was five runs against South Africa in their first innings in Cape Town in 2003.

7 Runs contributed by Pakistan's Nos. 6 to 11 in the first innings in Lahore, the fewest by Pakistan's bottom six in an all-out Test innings. Their previous lowest contribution was eight runs against Australia during their second innings in the 2004 Perth Test....

The nine wickets between Starc and Cummins are the most by Australia's fast bowlers in a Test innings in Pakistan and the joint-most in a Test innings in Asia. Their fast bowlers have picked up nine wickets on five previous instances in Asia. Their previous best combined haul in Pakistan was eight wickets in both innings of the Rawalpindi Test in 1994.

Quote:
A supreme fast bowling performance from Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins has helped put Australia in a dominant position in the third Test in Lahore.

Cummins and Starc helped Australia take 6-20 in just over an hour to bowl Pakistan out for 268 shortly before the close on day three.

Fantastic show put on by those two in an otherwise boring series.

Really looking forward to Day 4!

Flew in late yesterday, just had the 'second dig' at a nasty skin cancer on the back done and kicking back watching this will, hopefully, be very enjoyable.

To have a real chance at winning this test, the Aussies need to score at a good run rate from mid way through the first session. Then, set a big target quickly.

If Starc & Cummins can bowl half as good as they did yesterday, the series is ours..... and my 'draw' investment, is the TAB's.... ouch.

Hope you recover quickly and completely from that Skids. Otherwise, yes, Day 4 could be an absolute cracker.

Thanks for that Smile. Doc was pretty sure he got it all first time, just went a bit deeper to be sure. I've got 3 weeks R n R now. Cool

Can Marnus get some runs?.... I'd love to see Warner make a big score at a nice strike rate. Usie can just stay there and improve on his 150 average for the series Smile
