Grat in getting Leppish would it be possilbe if Justin was the senior coach and craig the assistant.
I always wanted Justin as coach if we did not get Micheal Voss. |

Seems like some contradiction on Leppitsch joining. SEN saying "probably not, no" was the reponse to a query about wether he would join Mcrae at the Pies. Might have read this on here, but some suggesting that might be out of respect to those who haven't yet been sacked...??
We do often get conflicting "confirmation" coming from various news sources. Seemed like on Monday night's footy shows it was an open secret that he would be heading our way.
Pretty happy with how the process has appeared to go. Be thorough, make your choices and then back them in. Something a little un-Collingwood in all of that. I like it! _________________ It's never as good/nor bad as it seems... |

Originally Leppitsch was named as list manager. So maybe roles are changing.
Kingsley came a very very close second |

SEN Whateley - Today
Justin Leppitsch has responded to reports that he will join a Collingwood coaching staff led by Craig McRae for the 2022 season.
The Age reported on Monday that McRae is eager for Leppitsch to join him at the Magpies in a senior assistant role.
When asked on SEN’s Whateley whether that was the case, the three-time premiership Lion responded: “Probably not, no.”
“Three of my great mates Adam Kingsley, Craig McRae and Michael Voss are going for this job so I was always put in a pretty precarious position commenting on it and if any one of them got the position there’s a chance I’d be attached to them (by the media) and there’s a chance that will happen,” Leppitsch added.
“But when and if, I haven’t had any in-depth conversations with Collingwood per se, I’ve had a lot of in-depth conversations with Adam and Craig and those guys about them going for this job and helping them out with presentations and what to look for and all those sorts of things because I’ve experienced it.
“The other part, that might be down the track, but nothing to report right now.”

Justin Leppitsch so wrapped we got him. Great work from Wright. According to those in the know McRae is very well regarded in footy circles too and well respected too. Both hawthorn and richmond can vouch for craig which says alot. And justin is a very successfull as player and his time when at the tigers too.
A great combo mcrae and justin still like voss to join us too.
Time to show harvey and sando the door now. |

Re-read the article in the Herald Sun and I think his response "probably not, no" was directly to an appointment being announced at the same time as Mcrae- which is a little different to how the SEN article writes it up.
He's therefore likely to come on board given the scuttlebut, but the terms, role and timing of that are perhaps yet to be thrashed out. _________________ It's never as good/nor bad as it seems... |

What i like is both mcrae and justin are outsiders too and we tend to win our flags under outsiders eg leigh matthews malthouse |

^ Definitely seems a step in the right direction. We need honest external appraisal and fresh ideas…
And It would be nice to see a fresh coaching panel with mutual respect and an established report. |

Reports Jaymie Graham is leaving Westcoast even though he was not successful in the pies senior coach role.
Would be great if he is included in the coaching group - I mean he needs to come to Melbourne I think to raise his profile. _________________ "Even when Im old and gray, I wont be able to play but Ill still love the game"
