Back to the game, the score so far is no surprise. The good news, for us, is that the Hawks will get a big boost to their NAB Cup percentage and will book a place in the final if we lose in the next 2 weeks. |
I'm hoping we smash Melbourne tonight and lose to Adelaide. No reason to waste our time with the NAB Cup final.

True, but we are still required to play a 4th game, whether we like it or not. The top 2 teams get to play in "the grand final", the rest of us get another practice match. May as well play to win that last match if we're not in the final, build up some form and momentum heading into the season proper.

St Kilda have been there since last night.

Still winless in the NAB Cup!
Carlton still winless too. 
Our injury woes aside, this has been the best NAB Cup in a while!
Everyone is jizzing for Izzy, but I'm more interested in the fortunes of #43 for Hawthorn, the young indigenous bloke whose first language is not English. Amos Frank, I think the name is. Did I hear right that the Hawks recruited him after he burnt up just 2 quarters of a reserves game in South Australia? Good luck to him. 
Izzy's $4 million plus salary could go a long way to recruiting a few more young indigenous fellas. You know, guys who can actually play the game...
