why do they think the pregame experience needs enhancing? with the advent of print at home ticketing most people seem to rock up just before start time. i just wish they would stop thinking we need to be americanised. this sport is so uniquely australian. let it be so.

and while i am at it, could they piss off the afl 9s half time games and give the kids back their time in the sun?!

it's things like this that will stop me from going to the footy.

I didn't think there was much wrong with having the U/19's and the seconds as pre match entertainment back in the day.

But my taste must be questionable as I'm sure the genius' at our club know what's best for us. Watching an urban dance posse dancing, prancing and gyrating pre-game will go with the footy like the record and meat pies....I think.

For the first time I'm starting to think that the current administration has lost the plot and is waaaay out of touch with the rank and file supporters.

What a bunch of shit.

one other thing, cynical or otherwise do you think they might be introducing all tgis rubbish so to turn us off attending and move us to buying foxtel subscriptions?

i can't think of any other logical reasons for these things to be introduced.

Or failing that, on setting up a VFL video stream so we can all watch the good work of the recruiting scouts running around...

Actually a BIG YES to that idea! As a minimum, an internet radio coverage.

Although that will do you out of an unpaid job on Nicks, MagpieBat!

Indeed it might! Shocked

On the other hand, it might make my job easier. If it's raining or freezing cold, can just tune in and relay scores from in front of the heater...

Well I supposed I could do with a laugh prior the game commencing. Dancing? Really? Please don't Americanise 'our' game, and by our I mean the fans. I would rather watch40 big bellied blokes synchronise skolling beers as pre-game entertainment that some razzle dazzle attempt at cheer leading. The game doesn't need it and the fans don't need (or want) it. Please Collingwood FC revisit this idea and don't do it.

If I could sum up the prevailing mood here in six words, it would be this:

Won't somebody think of the adults?

To be fair, this was because the wear and tear of the grounds became a problem due to OH&S issues.

Hopefully our new entertainers won't be tearing up the dancefloor then. Razz
