If you want to kick up a fuss try and get the game focused on providing more value for the supporters bothering to go to games -you will get some support there across the spectrum... get rid of the razzle dazzle US BS and put some more effort instead into giving better value for Collingwood members and let the AFL deal with major projects! |

gotta be an ulterior motive here. Magpie take over of the whole precinct is on the cards!
Btw, I'm one of those rare few who enjoy watching footy at Etihad. You need 50K + at the 'G' to get any atmosphere while at Eti, it's buzzing with only 20K. I think a 60K capacity stadium would be a perfect size as a 2nd home of footy but not sure that's the ideal location. Eti could still be retained, servicing the traditionally low drawing games. _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

This is by far the best proposal in the thread.
Seriously, the idea of putting another big stadium next to the MCG is a traffic/public transport logistical nightmare. Unless you're going to build one out in the suburbs, the perfect place for another stadium is close to the CBD but as far away from the MCG as possible. Like, say, somewhere in ... Docklands? They could put a roof on it and everything! _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |
