That team would be the worst ever fielded by Collingwood and lose to the Suns by 5 goals.

Gold Coast had 90 tackles last week, the most for the round when going down by 4 goals in Melb. So they are still working. We will win but need to really switch on and play ourselves back into form the way Richmond did up there a month ago.

These matches with seemingly nothing to win and everything to lose worry me, I have to say. We have to treat this as a crucial opportunity: this and the match against Melbourne are a chance to play ourselves back into form, and to face our last two rounds with a bit of confidence. I worry that the last couple of games have sapped a lot of morale from the playing group, and that'll be just about unsalvageable if we don't win this week. So I'm hoping for a hard and tough performance from the first siren. It's not about winning margin, it's about consistent effort and intensity.

^ True, we have to be right on from the first bounce, pressure the GC constantly, never let up, all day. Play ourselves back into some decent form.

We are fighting like the last days of the Nazis in Berlin, trying to hold off the advancing Red Army, by drafting in 12 yr old boys.

We have run out of AFL players and are now playing (at best) ordinary VFL players, to make up the numbers.

We'll be lucky to win another game. Forget about this being our tipping point. We've already tipped over and are now lying at the bottom of the cliff surrounded by dead and wounded bodies everywhere.

It's beyond a joke now. Heads must roll and we must admit that moving to Olympic Park has been a disaster. Back to Victoria Park for mine! Shocked

POSSIBLE INS:

Returning From Injury:
John Nobel had "Calf Soreness" and has not played for 2 weeks now. Will undergo a fitness test, but I think unlikely.

Levi Greenwood is still a bit of a mystery. If passed fit, will come straight back in, but it seems likely he misses again.

Adams was a late withdrawal and will under go a fitness test. Take no chances Pies. Sier has had a minor calf problem and I think will miss this week too. But should be tested.

From The VFL:
Tyson Goldsack must come in. He should have played last week. Has been good in the VFL without starring. Is a well loved teammate and would lift the boys having him out there.

Rupert Wills has probably been Collingwoods best player in the last few weeks of VFL. I think he will come under serious consideration. Lots of tackling and hard ball gets in the past four weeks now. Probably should have come in with Sier missing last week.

Tim Broomhead had been playing well in the past 2 weeks. He might get a chance to play this week. It could be very encouraging for the team to see him back after that horrible leg break last year. This would be the week to do it.

Tyler Brown has been emergency for the past month. Been very good in the 2's and we have him to look forward to in the future. I'll expect him to be an emergency again. But a debut is very possible.

Appleby and Madgen were serviceable in the thrashing we copped from Richmond. With out depleted defence, both will be looked at.

OUTS:
We now know that De Goey and Quaynor are out. There's a question mark over Rougheads concussion and it's very possible he sits this one out too. Crocker will be very lucky to keep his spot, even with all the injuries we've got.

I'm going to stop posting. Every time I do, news breaks on a new injury.

We should have drafted Jarryd Blair back in the mid-season draft, we need him.
