A great premiership player for us. Some people forget how good Daisy was in his prime. Mick Malthouse stuffed his career by taking him to Carlton.

Congratulations on retirement Daisy. Well played, but no we don't need him on our list.

'A dashing wingman at Collingwood who was part of their 2010 premiership side, Thomas will retire as a rare Carlton player beloved by Magpies fans.

"For a long while they loved me, and then at the same time they loved me, the Carlton fans hated me. Then it swapped," Thomas said.

"Now, hopefully [I can] be loved by both of them."'

Time for a Nick's poll? ("Do you love Daisy?")

Daisy yes you defected to a club we love to loath but so did the great Peter Mc Kenna and we love him still
So mate I for one revel in the memories of the 13 gernsey that strode the G on that October day 2010 ,not to mention all your other games

Good luck

When Tarrant came back we had just won a flag. We had a need for a KPP defender. He would have been 30 at the time. In the end, Taz was unlucky not to win a flag in '11.

Dale is now 32 and does not fill a need for our playing list.

Does he improve the list? Who's spot does he take? Can he play a full season? Can he help us win another premiership?

The sentiment is there, sure. But we have some decisions to make with Varcoe, Wells, Dunn, Goldsack, Reid to come. Can we afford to offer a 32 year old Daisy a new deal?

It seems like he left after a questionable relationship with the coach and with a bad feeling towards the club. And he left us for Carlton. I dont think there's any coming back from that.

But how would you feel if we did give him a rookie contract and he copied Taz: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kl2W-i_zBAI

Correct Presti
One cannot have some one like Goldy be a victim of attrition who absolutely stuck fat and then give a contract to a player at same stage of his football life
who chose another direction

and lost in 2011

I’ve watched a lot of him this year cos my wife is Carlton. He Plays smart, like an old man. Some romance in the concept of him coming home but I doubt it would happen under Bucks. Nor should it.

Ah, so you're romantic, just like Gillon. (How the %)(##( does someone obsessed with money, AFLX, etc. think he's a "romantic"?? Must be a CEO version of romance.)

Hopefully he invested that Carlton money wisely and has set himself up for a good life after footy as a past Magpie star.

I look forward to putting Daisy back on my 'love list' next year, when he's free of his current, unfortunate, infection.

Just the one main injury. But that was a big one.

As I recall he had serious injury clouds at the time, so Carlton did a good job of managing him through that I guess - was a shadow of his former self for first couple of years at Carlton.

As I said my Sat local in Nth Fitzroy is a Carlton hang out and by misfortune of a sort I’ve seen several “with Bolton then Teague “ noting begrudgingly their improved form

A lot has Daisy’s involvement—he plays a kick behind play and attracts loose balls then experience kicks in and he sets up good moves

But his time in this role is closer to end than beginning—we would achieve little time and hold back a young kid

This is crazier than bringing back Tarrant all those years ago, we didn't need him when we got rid of him and we sure as hell don't need him now!

Id say if that was crazy we need more of that kind of insanity. Became arguably the top rated defender in the league when he came back.
