Melbourne's offer is like a rocket in Billy's backside: he will play well above his abilities and help win our 2019's flag.

After winning the flag, well, if he wishes to leave, well...thanks and good bye.

Would hate to see him go, but he would be crazy not to take a huge money offer given is persistent back injuries.

Let's face it, three months ago a lot of us thought he might be finished as a Collingwood player. Obviously he's in brilliant form now and I'd very much prefer him to stay, but one wouldn't have any hard feelings towards him for looking elsewhere for better job security. And it's not like we can't cover him, ultimately.

I think he will stay. How many players have left the club in recent years that we wanted to keep?I think Beams is the only one,and he left for personal reasons-to be with his ill father. That certainly doesn't apply to Elliott, and after the way he's been playing lately I think the club will do everything in its powers to keep him.

They didn't want him when he was injured, no offers last year or the year before. But the moment he plays a couple of good games, after we spend years supporting him and helping him get back on his feet... and a second after his comeback game, Melbourne are banging on the door. They can go and get £$%$ed.

I would be very surprised if a few other clubs don't come knocking
