Wow, Cam Green! Is Greg Chappell right? "The best Oz batting talent since Ponting."
But this stuffs up his prep for the WTC final and Ashes. |

"Mumbai had been yearning for the real Cameron Green to reveal his true colours in the Indian Premier League — and when he did, it was well worth the wait.
Needing their big-money signing to deliver when they needed him most, Green obliged on his home turf in Mumbai with a sensational match-winning century on Sunday to keep their play-off hopes alive.
Smashing the Sunrisers Hyderabad attack to all parts of the Wankhede Stadium, Green, who has threatened a monster innings like this for the last couple of months, scored the winning single to move to three figures and leapt in the air for joy.
His price tag of $3.15m, making him the most expensive Australian IPL player of all time, may have been a heavy one, but Green had not let himself down throughout the rest of the tournament with a couple of blistering fifties and some challenging bowling that brought him six wickets."

Mumbai won by 81 runs. Green top-scored for them with 41 from 23. Stoinis top-scored for Lucknow with 40 from 27 - he was run out in a ball-watching collision between the batsmen as they returned for what should have been a comfortable second. |

L. Cameron, 22 May, cricket.com.au:
'But here is the rub.
Green's breakout performance will see his stay in India, which has already ticked over the 100-day mark having played in Australia's preceding four-Test, three ODI tour, balloon out to four months if Mumbai win their next two matches and qualify for the IPL final on May 28.
The other members of Australia's World Test Championship final squad will have arrived in the United Kingdom the previous day, at the latest. Some, like top-order teammates Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne, will have been there for weeks.
...
And with the looming possibly he may again be underdone by the time his head-turning IPL campaign is over, Australia will hope their match-winning allrounder's powers of adjustment are there when they face India at The Oval.' |
