We'll need to improve on last weeks effort, Cloke and Elliott kicked 10 between them and we still struggled to beat Melbourne, as Bucks said in his presser our midfield got nutted, hopfully getting TA back and giving BK a full game improves us in that area.

Bang! Spot on. Was thinking earlier we're actually pretty solid at each end of the ground but it's in the middle where the concern is. What we don't know at this stage is how much improvement Greenwood and Adams will bring to the table. Adams won't be playing this week by the sounds of things.

Going to need a big effort from Pendles and Swanny again this week.

Tusk, tusk....... Twisted Evil Razz

You have a jumbo task (tusk?) to stop Piesnchess referring to anything he damn well likes on Nick's Razz

And good on him for doing that.... Laughing

Ben Reid needs to tick the following boxes before he gets a call up in my opinion:

Play three full VFL games

Play well in them

Be at the required level of fitness to play senior footy

I have nothing against jesse white, but surely he does not deserve a game this week, not after what he served up against the deeees. How about young gault coming in for him. ??

Seriously R&C,you should dismount the Jesse White steed mate. He's not going sanywhere. He commands a good defender and you leave him alone at your peril.Same with Degoey. He's a stayer.

Interesting point. Assuming the opposition's best tall defender is on Cloke, who usually gets the second best tall defender White or Witts/Grundy?

Witts' recall will improve White's game. Cloke will play mainly at CHF with White and Witts/Grundy playing closer to goal.

Adams return should strengthen our midfield considerably. I can't wait to see De Goey, Adams, Kennedy and Crisp alongside each other in and around packs. I predict a big improvement in our midfield performance this week.

Our mids is a work in progress… but there is much promise….

Adams and Greenwood - both quality extractors will make a huge difference.

Crisp and Sidey were quiet which left too much for Pendles and Swan to do in the middle. These guys need to lift. I think we should run Broomy through there more as well because he is struggling up fwd and seems more comfortable in the middle.

We did get some good run from the backs though with Oxley playing as sweeper and Willo finding some confidence and Varcoe playing back more often.

De Goey is only a little bit off -- but he looks great and his endeavour is first rate.

After carefull reconsideration.

Out: Broomy (omitted) Grundy (rest)

In: Witts-Dwyer (sub)

Resting Grundy now will give him 3 weeks off, we have to manage his workload, it's a good time to do it IMO.

Rest Grundy and have Witts take on Mumford by himself? Yeah nah.
