Puzzled by the intro though: ‘Critically ill broadcaster Derryn Hinch has launched a scathing attack on St. Kilda footballers over the nude photo scandal.’

What has my health got to do with it? I only need a liver transplant. Some of these boofheads need a brain transplant.

Confused

Surely that depends on what he's done?

I hate the social media.

Gossip and more gossip.

If Nick's keeps going down this path I'll follow Hiss I think.

What is the Colllingwood player's involvement in this? Apart from being in an earlier sexual relationship with the girl when he was 19, is there more?

If it's the same person as the one under investigation for a rape in the aftermath of the grand final, then one would have to say it points to a fairly disturbing pattern of behaviour.

nice effort by Derryn today,

http://www.hinch.net/hinch-says-2010/December/29-12-10.html

I especially loved

Quote:
Triple Brownlow medallist Ian Stewart advised his old club to ‘have a bit of compassion for the girl’ and not sue her for damages. Bob Skilton, another Brownlow Triple, said common sense should have prevailed when the players first came in contact with the teenager.

Stewart says: ‘Maybe the football club is taking itself too seriously... the girl needs sympathy, compassion and understanding, not this other attitude’. He said the club had been heavy-handed and should have dealt with the issue months ago.

(In earlier days Stewart probably thanked his club for covering up one of his indiscretions and run-in with the law. People with long memories remember the search for the red Mercedes and the injured policeman and the embarrassing personal circumstances that Stewart found himself in in the CBD. He ended up hiding out at the club doctor’s house.)

Yes it was 1980. Stewart was drunk and drove on the wrong side of a safety zone. He was dressed in a party frock at the time.

I wouldn't have minded being a fly on the wall when Richmond & St Kilda officials walked away after doing the Stewart/Bill Barrot swap.. (1970?)... both sets of officials would've thought they were getting rid on an absolute nutcase!

Amazing the silence from both the AFL and St Kilda. They are willing this to simply disappear after being all over it like gladwrap on a 2 year old.

You're right. It IS amazing.

Could any of you imagine if this was happening at our club and there was no reaction? It's simply baffling that St Kilda and the AFL have been so silent on this issue for a week. They're not helping their cause by keeping Mum if you ask me.

If they have something, answers to the so many questions that have been raised - then say so.

If not - then apologise.

Probably realised the potential PR damage of going gung-ho on a seventeen year old girl and are now adopting a harm minimisation approach.

It was actually completely idiotic to make a big deal out of it in the first place. Why did Nick Riewoldt even feel he had to give a press conference? The St Kilda football club only have themselves to blame.

Cos Nick Reiwoldt is a sooky little bitch. I'll rate him as a top class CHF when he starts doing the physical work. Until then, he's a tall wing.
