If this actually happens, Head Office has officially lost the plot. Members should bombard the Club with emails, voicing our displeasure.

Collingwood, this better not happen. It's a sh!t idea, complete rot!!

Whoever thought of this rot needs to headbutt a metal spike or a claymore.

Geez ... it's not that bad an idea is it?

Cheerleading is the fastest growing sport in Australia.

International comp was in Melbourne in November and there's another on the Gold Coast in July. My youngest daughter lives n breathes it, has done for years.

Done right, would be an excellent addition to game day entertainment.

I'm for it Razz

It is a lot of fun. I would rather that than "The hawks are now 1.22 or just about anything comoing out of the MCG at the moment". Lighten up people.

I'd prefer they spent the money on more recruiting scouts.

I go the footy to watch the Pies play football. Not Dancers/Cheerleaders/soft porn. If I wanted to see that I'd have membership with the performing arts group or some sort of Mens' club.

At the breaks I like to catch up with my mates who I only see at the footy. This is increasingly difficult to do with the increase volume of music and adds during breaks, which is played up to the very second of the opening bounces.

I love loud music. My standard car stereo isn't loud enough. But when I'm try to talk to someone, I like to have a conversation, which means the other person can hear me and I can hear them a few seats away. This is not possible. Unless your right next to them , it's an effort to hear them.

I also have a certain taste in music too. So they are effectively jamming down my ears, what I (or many others) don't necessarily enjoy.

I don't need to be entertained every minute by someone. I can happily arrange my own personal entertainment while the game is not on. I can read, listen to my own music, have a conversation with mates or other supporters etc. Why am i forced to endure other peoples ideas of entertainment during the breaks.

End of my rant, but it does piss me off a bit. In the words of my family during my teenage years......"Turn it Down!"

Too right; if it was a straight swap of the blaring Maccas and Coke ads for the cheerleaders, I'd take the cheerleaders in a second!

It's sexit rubbish. It objectifies women as sexual objects. I thought the world had moved on. If it goes ahead I'll be writing a stern letter to Eddie who should know better than tread into this territory.

Both sexes being employed. Which side are you batting?

This is one of those moments that you dare not look up and break concentration.

Cheer leading is like synchronized swimming, I know it exists but I don't want to watch it.

I arrive to games just before the first bounce because I don't enjoy any of the pre-game 'entertainment'. Cheer leading/Hip-Hop dancers in the middle of the ground won't change a thing for me.

Does The Club really believe they will make a return on this investment?... I certainly can't see it adding any value to the majority of patrons.

I got no problem with this mob. They are not half naked or half starved.

The dancers at the Miami heat game I went too in Miami were bloody amazing.

Hopefully the club is above the trashy slutty bluebird and swanette outfits, but I doubt it

My only gripe is paying for it. I'd rather they took the salaries of our memberships!

I remember a few years ago Ed wanted a Magpies choir to kind of replicate the singing and chanting you hear at English premier league or a Welsh rugby match.

That went nowhere as Australians just don't go for that stuff, certainly not at an AFL match. The best we did was the "COOOLLLINGWOOOOD" chant we had going a couple of years back when our cheer squad still had a pulse.

Why Eddie wants us to try and make our unique sport more like all the others has me stumped? Is it a touch of cultural cringe?

The game has been an epic spectacle for over a century and this trivial razzamatazz just cheapens it and brings a tacky element to our code that it just doesn't bloody need.

And look how that's worked out, getting sick of other clubs using it against us when we lose

The cheer(less) squad has been a sad state of affairs for years now.

Maybe they can dance- now there's a scary thought!
