I’d say 15/46 or whatever it is is the very definition of Colliwobbles.

5 goals to 0 and lose a GF?

Only Collingwood.

I think I’m just about done for a while. Not worth the pain. I wish the club well, but L-L-D-W-L-L is just too much to take.

Now these poor young men ahead of their time have the ‘privelege’ of being part of Colliwobble folklore. Life ain’t fair.

What about the last goal that won them the game?.The player just literally pulled the goal out of his backside. That always seems to happen to Collingwood in finals.

1 win and 12 losses in games with more than 100,000.

Jesus!! We've mastered losing on the big stage.

WTF is wrong with our club. How can this be? This is more than just bad luck.

We need to cleanse the club because something is just not right.

Great effort. You have to to take your chances. Hawthorn, Brisbane, Geelong. Took the chances. We did not

Grundy was awful. Have not remembered a more poor display since Leon 2003.

I am devastated.... just devastated

A great effort by the boys all year and they should all hold their heads high.

I so strongly disagree. Everything went as right as it could given the awful run with injuries we had. it was a miracle we even made it to the GF. Please don't be so ready to put down a magnificent effort from the players and coaches.

Can we trade Grundy? AA my ass, got smashed by oppositions 2nd and 3rd ruckman

At least Cox stood up when it mattered

Collingwood won the hit outs at a ratio of 2 to 1 and also won the clearances.. The problem wasn’t the rucking - it was the complete physical shellacking our mids suffered around the contest. Pendlebury and Sidebottom were awful.

The defence stood up well, for the most part - they had 15 more inside 50s because they won the midfield ground ball so convincingly.

Josh Thomas had 3 chances to make an impression in third quarter and botched each of them. Two points and one that didn’t make the distance.

It will kill a team every time, though, when it’s best midfield players don’t turn up. Adams was good, Treloar is excused, given his injury problems but how the best two players in the team dished that up on their biggest day for 7 years is a mystery.

Not going in with the extra tall was telling in that final quarter with Darling, Kennedy, Barass and McGovern taking 37 marks between them for the game and controlling the air.

The area the Eagles really got on top though was through the midfield with Grundy and Sidebottom well down for impact while Pendlebury and Phillips didn't have great influence either.

After a 5 goal start I thought this might be the beginning of a new Collingwood era but alas it was the same old shite and we were lucky to be within 5 points in the end as the Eagles smashed us for forward entries in the last quarter.

Another wasted opportunity.

P.S- Shoot that runner!

One goal from winning the premiership,so the team hardly needs cleansing. But we do need to get some key position players next year. Our goal to goal line was really very makeshift today, and we got killed in the air.
