I guess if he told the truth, “Pendlebury, Treloar, Adams and Wills sucked”, you’d know he’d made his mind up.

It's interesting Pies4shaw, It often looks to me like he doesn't tap to the right spots ie: where our mids are, and perhaps this is what he's alluding to.

For a leading ruckman, it's strange there's an apparent lack of cohesian between him & the mids

Which makes me wonder how they're coaching it to fit our game plan.

Any thoughts on what the real issue is here?

2016
2017
2018
2019
Grand Finals won by teams with 2nd/3rd string ruckmen.
Ruck dominance is a fallacy, it’s midfield dominance that
counts. If he wants 7 yrs see ya later & give us 2 first rounders.
I love Brodie but he is not our most important players

Yes but did any of their opponents, apart from last year, have a notable ruckman in the opposition?

2019 Nankervis & Soldo vs Mummy, who was cooked
2018 Lycett & Vardy vs Grundy, and a midfield that was injured [Pendles]/tagged[Sidey]
2017 Nankervis & Grigg vs Jacobs & Jenkins and a midfield that was crushed
2016 Boyd, Roughead & Bontempelli vs Naismith & Tippet, who was cooked
2015 McEvoy & Hale vs Natanui & Sinclair
2014 McEvoy & Hale & third man up Lewis vs Mike Pike & Tippett
2013 Hale & Lewis vs Sandilands & a midfield that was crushed
2012 Pike & Mummy vs Hale, Roughy & Lewis
2011 Ottens & West vs Jolly, Brown & Daisy
2010 Jolly & Brown vs McEvoy & Goddard

Dominant ruckmen can still be invaluable.

I'd like to know what we'd be getting in return if we traded him and who our ruckman would be if he left. Then I'd have a better idea on whether or not I'd want us to trade him.

What do you guys think he'd be worth in a trade?

Just walked in and turned on telly—a little news report that Grundy said

No 7 yrs. No signature. Any one else hear

At this stage, only Cox, Lynch and Darcy Cameron I think.

That's a pretty steep drop in quality from Grundy. We'd want to be adding some serious talent in other areas of the ground to make up for it if we traded him.

If he goes well it is what it is and big important players don’t always cast a big shadow if they depart

Hawks won several flags after Buddy left

If it’s 7 years or he walks, I’d say see you later! Do we really need to be paying a 33 year old over a million a season? Will he even be around then? Clokey is only 32 and he’s long gone!!!

He won't get 7. That's the opening salvo. He'll get a 5 yr extension, plus next year makes 6. I hope.

Collingwood are not going to get Jezza Cameron.

Forget it.

Giants will make a one-team player for sure.

The question I would ask is, after Nick Nat, who is else is this wonderful mythical unicorn that rams all these hit outs onto their team mates chest ?
Do they really exist or is it nothing more than a perceived flaw in Grundys game that is of no real consequence anyway
What we all do know is that there isn’t a current ruckman in the game who gets anywhere near the mid field numbers that Grundy does.
Maybe that’s what the other clubs are really recognising in him ??
