The funny thing about our current predicament is that we could lose all of our remaining games and still make the finals. We're two games plus percentage ahead of the Bulldogs who are in ninth position, and I can't see them winning more than one of their remaining games.

THE WAY things are going on the rampant injury front we will be flat out even fielding a team, at this stage.

It least it’s not a broken heart. They’ve can ruin your entire season if you let them 😉

Suns 16 points up against Essendon at half time. All I can say is thank god they’re doing this today and not next week.

GC going okay now. Hope they have a big second half! It'll help us in two ways.

Hopefully Suns can beat the Bombers.

So when they beat us next week does not look quite as bad

On the back of about 11 fresh injuries in the last three weeks, realistically there aren’t many teams we can beat. The good news is that Gold Coast remains one of them.

Oh my God,11 injuries in three weeks. That must be some sort of record for any club surely?

GC Suns have gone from a chance to being certainties I'm afraid. We are stuffed. Mount us and put us on the shelf, we're done for the year. Sad

Good idea Piesnchess. Forfeit the 4 points and save some pride. Idea

GC winning probably increases our chance of winning next week.

But they're only 10 points up now in Q3.

Unfortunately, the game next week is eerily and diabolically reminding me of Round 21, 2014 when we had an injury crisis of similar magnitude and we were smashed by the Brisbane Lions (then 15th on the ladder) by 11 goals on the MCG. Jack Crisp starred that day against us.
What are the common factors?
a) Crippling injury crisis
b) Opponent from Queensland
c) Opponent a bottom 4 team
Let's hope at least that GC has an as yet unknown Jack Crisp waiting for us to pick up at the end of the year.

On the bright side everyone, if the Suns beat Essendon this week and we forfeit next week it will mean that Melbourne Demons win the wooden spoon. Oh the sheer joy (I loath those cucumber sandwich eating, snow bunny four-wheel driving private school toffs). Laughing
