Remove Blair who "slips over" too often,
Umpiring was terrible,
Darcy needs to be treated like his father, let him run in the ruck and get into the game, keep him in today's role,
Adams makes too many skill errors, but was better this week than last,
we need to persist with Maynard, he will get there,
Goldsack, Howe and Dunn were solid, Schade I'm not sold on.
Aish, Phillips and DeGoey need game time so need to be persisted with.
WHE has it all but needs a kick in the arse or bet let go.
Fasolo, Wells, Crisp and Smith are not our future.
Bring in Scharenberg, Dacios, Brown, Kirby, Wills and Crocker.
Give Sier a game or F him off.
Pendles, Grundy, Treloar and Ellioitt deserve a better team around them.
Reid is a key back simple as that, and we need a key forward in the trade period ( Travis would have been handy this year don't you think?(

I think the crowds going forward for us will be really bad.
People keep saying we are the biggest in the land but l think we are slipping fast.

I think that's more to do with GWS.They can't draw a crowd in Sydney, can't draw a crowd in Melbourne or anywhere. They are box office poison. The A.F.L should just disband them because people don't care about them, especially in Sydney.

Pretty much agree with everything there. Except perhaps your assessment of Fas, Wells, Crisp and Smith. I don't think there is definitely no room for them over the coming years. But, they are known quantities who have clearly reached the high point in their development. Whether they have a role going forward will depend on whether we have someone come in who can prove they are consistently better. Crisp and Smith in particular are on thin ice in that regard.

I went to a game against the Swans 2 years ago, and the same problem happened tonight.

This team cannot hold a lead. It seems that whenever the team scores a goal, the ball somehow ends up down the other end. It's as if scoring a goal is the end game, and they somehow relax. So then actually scoring a goal is hard work, unlike the other team...

If the 14 yr old goal umpire did her fkn job properly we would have held on. Calling for the replay after the clear behind prevented us from playing on quickly. Gws were then able to set a zone and it cost us the game

Hahaha, it was off putting watching a five year old goal umpire

Obviously you clearly missed all the other players on both teams slipping on what is a sub standard AFL Ground. Drop him because his decision making and disposal was shite.

This one hurt a lot , got killed at the stopages too often , we fought hard all night , Maynard stepped up , Goldsack never stops having a go . Jamie Elliot was great , Jordy why didnt you keep running and straighten up? Moore and Grundy worked hard all night. A lot of spirit and willingness from a lot of the lads, we are still lacking that extra key forward.

Shattered but we gave it all we had and I'm proud with the way we played. Hopefully we can build on that performance against Hawthorn. Our structures were all wrong today but I was happy with the performances of Aish, Schade and Blair. Wells was disappointing today. I hope people understand Wells would have made no difference against Carlton. De Goey was fantastic. For once I don't regret the decision to recruit him ahead of Wright. We need to find another forward to support Moore. Reid needs to go back down back. We also need a bit more pace through the midfield. Treloar should solve that.

Not wanting to eat our own but "what planet are you on"?

* Schade had 6 kicked on him by Cameron
* De Goey butchered it with 5 mins to go and was 2nd lowest Champion data player rankings
* Wells was disappointing?? What the??
* Blair: you were "happy with"????

Talk about being "half full vs empty". Easily amused you are!

Hate to say it, I'll probably get hammered for this but Goldsack is past it.

Goldsack was great today/night. <snip, watch your tongue, you've been instructed in the past to desist from lashing out at other posters. Be respectful towards your fellow Nicksters. Do not transgress like this again, or a card may be coming your way. - the mods>

i tell you what I didn't miss.
Collingwood didn't score in the last 6 and a half minutes and Blair fumbled the ball a few times in that period, he also gave away the free kick in the last minute that enabled the steve J goal.
My little mate threw caution to the wind and came sliding in to take the legs out of the GWS player.
It was reckless in the extreme.
And speaking of the steve J goal it was Maynard who was tagging him at that time but he was just too loose and too slow.
Game over!
It was a game of millimetres and we came up short.
Again!!!!!!!

Look at the second quarter on the edge of the square, not a particularly bad part of the ground, but apart from a good first quarter, I'm afraid the no matter how hard he tries, he's going to come up short!!!!

I went to the game tonight. I am disappointed with the loss but still proud of the effort. I want value for my membership and I got it tonight, despite the agonising loss.
One thing I have never seen/heard before was GWS getting that dodgy 50m penalty and a GWS supporter went ape at the umpire, yelling at him for being soft - just wanted the game umpired properly, didn't want to be gifted goals. He told me after the game he believed they got the rub of the green in spades.
Oh, and live, in the last 15-20 minutes, the crowd seemed noisy to us despite bugger all people.

would love to see Pick #2 + Moore on the trade table at season's end.
Good chance we could land either Schacke / Reid / Martin / Fyfe with that package.

Moore is useless. He could kick 10 goals a game for the next 100 games and I wont forgive him for costing us the game tonight.
