Poor execution from both sides, that's a result of so many numbers forward of the ball. I hate this style of footy. Weren't the new rules meant to create higher scoring games?

And those play on calls in the Hawks f50... I understand the technical rule, but it's bullshit. In such a congested game, they should let them go.

We have ZERO confidence to go through the middle because our tall forwards offer very very little.

Hence why we are hugging the boundary line to work around their ineffectiveness.

Cox and Mihocek need to lift....especially Cox who once again is offering NOTHING!!!!

Can’t help but wonder how much better we would be if we had better tall forwards.

Id give my left nut to have Howe, Langdon, and Taylor adams back in this side, sooner the damn better. ! We are struggling, players are down, these bastards have come to play, we really need to lift, still got guys who really need to do a lot more, like sidey and Thomas. Just gonna have to grout this one out, somehow.

Tackling pressure has been better than last week, but only moderately...we haven't seen the anger and indignation we had hoped for after last week.
Those who are suggesting that Hawthorn are "keeping us in it" with inaccuracy up forward are not correct, I believe. I think our defence has been fantastic, and they have not been able to generate many effective kicks on the forward line. They missed a couple of gettable ones, which we did as well. I think it is more that we ourselves are keeping Hawthorn in it. The main reason is that our skills with the ball in hand have seemingly vanished. From what we saw earlier in the season, what we see now is truly miserable. So many times, we had them by the neck, but screwed ourselves over with fumbling and mishandlign of the ball which just didn't seem to happen (or with much less frequency, anyway) earlier in the season. The second reason is our clear loss of confidence. We are playing a very defensive game.Flooding their back line with our midfield, to prevent them from scoring, but at the same time styming our potential fo rapid ball movement. We just seemed to have no confidence or self-belief anymore, and are playing like a team paralysed by the fear of turning it over.
Not sure how we can break out of this corner we find ourselves in, of our own making.
