^ Wow. That's a big achievement. (Of course, we know there are injuries.)
He showed some good signs against Carlton two games ago. |

Crows are trying to test Grundy by playing both O'Brien and Jacobs against him. If he conclusively beats both and kicks them out of the finals, they will throw heaps of cash at him _________________ "Hey Ma get off the dang roof!" |

Bad luck for Daicos but happy to get another look at Noble.
If his first game was a baptism of fire then this is something of a homecoming given it wasn't that long ago he was running around at SANFL level so hopefully that will hold him in good stead.
Hope we play him on the wing. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

Agree K, I just got around to watching that game the other day and Keane was very good. He positions himself very well in the marking contests and has a good second effort. Raw but has some tools.
I thought Daicos did enough to hold his spot but we get another look at Noble, which can’t be a bad thing.
The top heavy crows forward line should suit our defence but we still need to work both ways between the arcs. We will need goals from our mid field or we will struggle to kick a winning score against this mob. |

Reilly O'Brien is in for the Crows. It'll be good to get a look at our #1 ruckman for 2020. |

I reckon our side has been stuck in a funk for the whole year.
Iin my view, we're not going to do anything in the finals if we stick the same same. We need to throw the cat amongst the pigeons and go with some bold selections. It may feel to some as acting in desperation, but we need to roll the dice in the wild chance we throw some sixes. I'd do the following:
- bring in Wells and T.Brown next week, and add them to the midfield mix.
- Moore to also come back next week, and play back.
- Add Stevo, Jordy, Aish in our first Elimination Final.
- Play Jordy in the middle only. The kid leads by example, and is there in the big moments.
- send Rough back where he's been our biggest success story so far this year.
- WHE to get a rocket and put his head over the ball and play hard and with intensity.
- Add a sprinkle of toughness, and manic pressure, and go for the kill. Take risks and attack.
OUTS: Thomas, Madgen, Mayne (tough call), Greenwood (another tough call). Noble, Wills.
INS: Wells, T.Brown, Aish, Moore, Jordy, Stevo
B: Roughy, Shaz, Moore
HB: Maynard, Howe, Crisp
CL Phillips, Jordy, T.Brown
HF: Wells, Checkers, Sidey
F: Varcoe, Elliott, Stevo
FOLL:Grundy, Teloar, Pendles
INT: Aish, WHE, Adams, C.Brown
EMERG: Greenwood, Mayne, Noble, Wills.
This side has serious X-factor. The opposition won't know where to look. It's our only chance. The alternative is to go off quietly into the sunset, and bemoan another wasted season. |

That’s an interesting point re O’Brien. Not sure if you’re aware that his contract has been extended till end 2021.
I know where you’re coming from and it’s an interesting outcome from both the crows and O’Brien if everyone thinks that Grundy is the Crows major target sometime before the end of 2020.
O’Brien also comes from Victoria. Interesting times ahead. |

Well here is the test for the first time in two weeks we are not playing a cellar dweller.
So..the equation is quite simple.....if we allow the ball to fly out of the middle as we did against GWS and North (and to some extent last quarter against Melbourne) ...well we will get belted again....
Win it out of the middle use it well going forward we win.
The worry as always this season....which Collingwood Midfield is going to show up??? _________________ "To know nothing of events before your birth, is to forever remain a child" - Cicero (Roman Lawyer/Senator) 46 BCE. |
