At the start of September Australia are going to be playing their 3rd game in the UK/Ireland.
But unlike the others (only about 3000 tickets for the England game and 2000 for the Ireland game. ) there are going to be at least 10,000 tickets for the Roos...
The game is in Reading which is about 40 mins from London and should be a good one.
Will let you know what the Ireland v Australia game was like when I get back from the Emerald Isle!!!

Reading were bending over backwards for Australia to play at their stadium(not sure of the spelling, something like madjeski stadium). Do you know why LondonPie? Did it make big news in the London media?

The Aussies dominated general play and is was something like 20 shots to 6. Kewell had about half a dozen shots on target. The most promising thing to come out of the match for mr was the performance of Bresciano he played on the right and along with kewell was clearly the outstanding player on the pitch. I think he should stay in the team when Emerton returns and play in the centre of midfield at the expense of either Skoko or Okan who are both showing the signs of age and just don't have the same presence they had in previous years.

What does everyone else think?

God Viduka pisses me off! he is so lazy, if he played for spurs he would blend in nicely!

No we were very good but we have to learn how to score, some of those missed chances were embarrassing.

Tiatto and Emerton will fit in nicely!

Creedy, Viduka has bloody 2-3 guys to contend with pretty much every game. Sure Sav Rocca kicked 10 goals on the Crows with three blokes once, but that was a long time ago.

He makes so much space for other players, and I can still remember his friggin hat-trick in the preliminary final against South Melbourne a few years ago. Cut the man some slack.

Crap! Im sorry but crap!

How many games has he played for Australia and how many goals has he scored? i think its in the high 20's and the goals are 3! thats not good enough from a STRIKER rated as high as Viduka.

He did not have to contend with 2-3 players on him in this game as they were on Kewell (a player that does put his heart into his country).

That goal he scord against Ireland i dont even count as a goal as i could have put that in with my gut!

And a Hatrick against South Melbourne! hahahahaha! If my Nan lived in Australia she could score a hatrick against that pack of Poofs!

When I watch Viduks play for Australi sometimes I wonder why he even bothers showing up, it just looks as if he isn't trying half of the time. His tap in against Ireland hid the fact the he put in an insipid effort for the majority of the game and was lucky that the ball just landed at his feet to give him a simple finish.

When he was at Celtic he was a goal-machine and he has has a excellent strike rate when playing for Leeds but in internationals he just looks like a different player.

I was only kidding Creedy! But seriously, maybe it's time some other strikers got more of a go, like Aloisi or Agostino, or some other young player which I don't know of. Australia doesn't seem to have a wealth of good strikers at the moment, but maybe it's time Viduka got the message that he's there for pretty much one thing, and if he can't do it, make him stand aside and give someone else a chance.
