A bit disapointed with the spurs result, apparently we had the most of it all day with a half strenghted team and got robbed with a penalty Hoddle said was DISCRACFUL!

Also spurs discards Firdinand, Iverson and Sheringham also scored.

Good luck to pompey they looked good and should escape religation.

Everton and Bolton were poor i expected more out of both especially Everton, when its nil all and the other team gets a player sent off you are supposed to be the better team and not go down 2 nil.

And how bad are Villa? well a tenna says they go down!

Well not many surprises in the opening round. All the championship wannabees dropped valuable points. The serious contenders (Man U, Arsenal,CHelsea) got the job done even while not playing overly well.

Chelsea were interesting, if they can gel as a team they will be tough to hold out.

Now, I haven't seen many highlights (I will tonight) but apparently the new boy Cristiano Ronaldo was simply stunning after he came on. I will be watching with interest, but some very good (neutral) judges are saying we got a bargain at 12 million pounds!!!

He was! very skillful player and will be a very good by, he is like a Robbie Keane crossed with Van Nistelroy he is exciting as he can dribble the ball passed evryone but he is tall and unco which means he can be a star striker. Unfortunatley the other young Portugese star (postiga) didnt get off to a good start but its only one game in there is another 37 to go!

LOL....you are right 37 to go!! It doesn't seem that many does it??

I think the overall standard of the league has improved on previous seasons. This is because of the money at Chelsea. They buy quality players, then this money goes to other clubs who then buy more quality players themselves.

Anyone who is not happy with Chelsea's spending would be kidding themselves - it has a flow-on effect that wil only improve the Premier League.

Matty you have gotta be kidding! You are as cocky as the man u fans! But i wouldnt be getting annoyed with your result the other day you blokes walked all over them but couldnt get a winner, and yes United didnt look that good against Bolton as Bolton were shite. But i wouldnt be opening my mouth very wide as you know what happened the last time you played united at St Jameses?

I enjoy listening to what the supporters of clubs that are challenging for the league before a season, and then watch the bitch fight when its over.

The one good thing about Supporting Spurs!!!!

geordiematt, I am not cocky. I believe we will win the title, but I definitly think there is a chance we will NOT win the title also.
Just because I believe Newcastle and Liverpool will finish 4/5 does not mean I am cocky either - and it doesn't mean you cannot beat us on Saturday!
Besides, I hope we win 4-0 every time we don't look impressive! Razz

Creedy...Laughing I wasn't going to mention what happened at St.James' last year - so thanks for that!!!
