What a disgrace. Don't forget that this was probably and attack by JI, who want an Islamic state in Indonesia, they have more to gain by bombing targets in their own country, than in other countries.
Bombing Western targets in their own country helps to build support for them, because it builds up the Anti-Western crap, and this in turn only helps their cause for an Islamic State. Hacing said that, they probably piss of just as many people by doing this.
Apparently no Australians have been killed though. Still, |

There is one little Australian 6 year old girl in a coma. Death by paper cuts wouldn't be good enough for these people who organise this.
I think you'll find an attack on Australia would be a much larger scale thing. Embassy's and nightclubs kill people but if they were going to do something in Australia they would be thinking bigger. Our gas plant in the NW shelf or the power station in Victoria would be the two largest targets financially or the harbour bridge or opera house would be the main social targets.
It's a lot easier for them to get the resources to carry these things out in their own country.
But don't worry, the world we live in is a better place now - George Dubya told me so. _________________ My oxygen is Collingwood. Without it I die.

Tess, very big call.
I doubt if any OZ PM would do that. The repercussions with Indonesia do not bear thinking about. |

Without permission would probably be pretty dumb. I think we would have to rely on the foreign country to do the work for us. ie. we give them the intelligence, and they fix the terrorists up. LD put it a good way. |
