Depends if it is a little tear it would be 3-5 weeks.
Wakes implied on Monday night that it was a 'knock' on the calf not a tear.
I would imagine given the rumors that he has been diagnosed with a tear.
The most similar relevant injury would be Hird's calf last year where i think he missed about 6-7 weeks.

It sounds like the old man's calf injury - i got one 18 months ago playing cricket and I can still feel it.

Jimmy Clement also missed about 10 weeks of footy last year from memory with a calf (soleus muscle??).

Muscle strains are graded according to their severity, with grade 1 being the least severe.

Grade 1
• Stretching with some microtearing of muscle fibers.
• Recovery can be complete in about 2-3 weeks.

Grade 2
• Partial tearing of muscle fibers.
• Recovery can take up to 1-2 months.

Grade 3
• Complete tearing (rupture) of muscle fibers.
• Complete recovery can take more than 3 months.

Reckon it would be time to get Stanley in if this is the case. Stanley is groomed as a Burns replacement. We'll need some tough bodies in come September.

I agree.

From the first time i saw Stanley play in a praccy match at Optus Oval he struck me as Burnsy's replacement.

That was 2 or 3 years ago... the time is coming up very soon....

Triple M reported on Saturday night at the game that Burnsy turned around to the med staff at the game and said he'd nicked it and was stuffed.

Given the history, see ya for 2008 Scotty.
