I was v.pleased with Cloke's game, he didn't drop a mark, kicked four and answered his critics. But really, isn't that what key forwards are supposed to do?! As much as it pained me, I couldn't give him a vote for that reason. He did his job.

Good point. I was having terrible trouble deciding who to give the votes to, but you have persuaded me that Cloke's excellent game, in this context, was really "only" a 1 vote game - especially when you remember he was blessed with a couple of poor matchups that gave him more of a chance to shine. Nevertheless, you can only beat the players that go to you, and Cloke (assisted by great decoy play from Rocca and Medhurst) was the man who broke the heart of the Cats' defence, so I'll go this way:

3: Clarke
2: Swan
1: Cloke

Marty played a blinder! Swan was the key influence at the stoppages, but again he was assisted by some excellent sidekicks, including Pendles, Wellingham, BJ, Thomas, Didak and O'Bree.

There are so many others who ought to have got at least one vote, for example: Didak, Medhurst, Pendles, Thomas ..... maybe next week for them.

Edit: did I mention Harry? How could I have not mentioned Harry? Harry was great!

3. Cloke
2. Clarke
1. Lockyer (could have gone to at least 6 players but it was Tarks' 9 tackles that did it for me)

Well, a hard choice as everyone has said.

3. Clarke
2. Cloke
1. O'Bree

Honorable mentions: The rest of the squad, keep playing like that every week and we will kill them all ! What a great display of gutsy risk taking footy.

Very, very difficult.

3. Clarke. His best performance since the preliminary final.
2. O'Brien. Took on and beat Steve Johnson.
1. Lockyer. His best game of the year; his tackling was outstanding, often against much bigger players.

But really, you could have given a vote to any and all of them. Didak, Cloke, Swan and Rhyce Shaw were all right up there too I thought. (As an aside, Rhyce's importance to us is so underrated it's not funny)
