frost another good player.
bennel a few good marks
reid needs to work on his kicking barely hit a target. he is better handballing then kicking the footy
sidebottom and stanley did NOT play expect 1 or both of them to come in. stanley is on stand by for shaw
what radio station was the game on? there was a guy from sen interviewing the assistant coach's but sen had the footy crows vs dogs game |
Bennel didn't play mate. He was sitting in the terraces with Sidebottom. |

Mighty Mick Gayfer had a premiership career doing this. Presti also would rather handball than kick. |
but gayfer and presti were and are good enough to man up on their players. |

I went to the second half of the game today. sounds like I missed a good first half.
Was interesting to see that Stanley and Steele didn't play. Sounds like they are a good chance to play AFL on Monday. Good to hear Dawes played well, also Wood. I thought Blight was good. Rounds was also good and it was a good win for the boys. _________________ I am Da Man |

It was www.livevfl.vom.au
The sen guy was probably Spider Lee who is the producer for Finey's show and did the VFL when they were covering that before they got AFL rights. _________________ Carn' the PIES!!!! |

Very solid win today.
The senior boys looked pretty pumped for tomorrow night's game too.
I have to say that I think Tim Hunt (51) has been an outstanding find for the VFL side.
It was good to see Ryan Colbert back and amongst it, he has a terrific work ethic.
Lauhclan Keefe just gets better and better.
Several great performances and the rest were better than good.
Some pics...

Wood - very good today. Earned a recall on todays performance.
Dawes - Unstoppable in the first half and looked very dangerous overhead.
Hawks put an extra man back on him in the 2nd half.
Blair - Tough hard little nut who never stops working. This kid will be elevated at seasons end and will definitely play senior footy in 2010. Really good again today.
Cook got plenty of it today and is knocking on the door for senior selection
Reid Strong in the air but kicking is a real problem. If he can overcome his deficiencies by foot, he could be anything.
Goldsack Pretty quiet and eventually got moved forward in the last quarter.
Blight lacks a bit of pace but geez the kids got a leap and a half and can take a grab. Certainly plenty to work with.
Frost, K.Pendlebury & Francis all played quite well. |
You've made my day, woftam. Hope you are a good judge of talent. _________________ Be Staunch, Be Proud, Be Collingwood |

As posted on the Collingwood website:
AFL-listed players and comments by VFL manager Paul Licuria
6. Tyson Goldsack (6k, 5h, 3m, 1t) Didn’t run aswell as he normally does. He was left open in the last quarter and played an important role down back. A spare man and did a good job.
12. Shannon Cox (2k, 2h, 1t): Unfortunately Coxy looked like he sustained a pretty serious leg injury in the first quarter and went to hospital. Fortunately scans revealed it was bone bruising and will be right this week.
19.Cameron Wood (15k, 7h, 7m, 1g, 2t) Played his best game in the VFL this year. Had some presence in the ruck and around the ground and took some really good grabs. Has put his hand up for senior selection this week.
20. Ben Reid (15k, 5h, 5m, 2t) Played centre half-back. Had plenty of the ball and read it really well when it was coming in.
27. Jarrad Blight (13k, 10h, 7m, 5t) Spent some time on the wing and went to half-back. Showed strong patches of good footy. He will be a really important player for this football club in years to come.
29. Ryan Cook (15k, 17h, 7m, 1g, 2t) Extremely solid in the midfield. His running to handball receives (17) was exceptional. Also provided a lot of clearances.
31. Chris Dawes (13k, 1h, 12m, 5g, 2t) Played a fantastic game and kicked five goals (three from set shots). He led with presence and took some really big grabs. Has put his name up for senior selection this week.
33. Brad Dick (11k, 3h, 3m, 7t) Quiet in terms of possessions but his tackling was great.
37. Luke Rounds (6k, 6h, 2m, 2t) One of his quieter games but showed some good signs playing in a defensive role.
40. Chris Bryan (8k, 3h, 6m, 4g, 3t) Stood up once again and could be a chance this week.
41. Kevin Dyas (5k, 3h, 2m, 4t) Still in the process of getting some run in his legs. His accuracy by hand and foot has improved.
44. Lachlan Keeffe (8k, 3h, 5m, 1g, 7t) Great game for Lachlan in the ruck. Really made a contest in the middle. He has only played 14 football games in his life and still has a lot of improvement in him.
45. Toby Thoolen (6k, 2h, 2m, 2t) Played in the last line of defense in a Presti-role. Really improved this year.
46. Tristan Francis (11k, 5h, 5m, 1g, 7t) Solid honest player who runs hard all day.
47. Jarryd Blair (11k, 9h, 4m, 1g, 12t) Does the one-percenters and always gives it his all. _________________ "And that effort by Ezard was pathetic" - Don Scott. |

Blair, 12 tackles. Could be a Libba type, fox terrier nipping away and on their tale all the time. _________________ Billy Picken, the great No. 25 in the sky! |
