I didn't know whether to post this here or What made me sad, or Trump, or Covid 19, or start a new one about rednecks...
I'm seriously reconsidering ever travelling to the US, even to see Robbie, if this is the mentality... Are they somehow brainwashed? Or just stupid?

I saw my FIL today, cos I had an appointment to try and get my dad in the same place. I bought him a coffee and cake, and we sat and chatted. After 10 min he said ‘so how long have you worked here?’ Hmmm. I found his glasses, cleaned them and put them on him. He does a double take and says ‘Oh oh, um, hows your footy team.?’ He has dementia and he associates people by what he remembers most about them. Me’brilliant, we are on top of the ladder’ ‘ oh he says, um who’s on top of the ladder?’ Me ‘Collingwood’. Oh. ‘Your bulldogs are second ‘ I lie (again). Hmm he says ‘Buckley still captain?’ He sure is! ‘ good footballer that Buckley’ ‘he sure is’ I say!

Well it beats arguing, I mean discussing footy with my footy hating hubby!
