Post subject: TV coverage of Pies games in WAReply with quote

Can anyone tell me what TV coverage of Pies games is like in Perth? I may be relocating for work from Melbourne. I've heard that when the Shockers or Weagles are playing at similar times there can be no coverage of other matches.

yes it is true, we have the same problem here in Sydney where Swan always trumps Magpie. Best thing is to wait for replays on digital teev - 72 and one hd, sometimes they have a live coverage on fox main event.

There are normally 2 or 3 games a year that we don't get a direct telecast on either free to air or Foxtel. The WA Magpies I think have managed to get a satellite telecast in most cases where there is no FTA or Foxtel and they used to watch at the Quinn Tavern. Most of the press coverage over here is all Shockers and Weagles, so thank god for the internet. Western Magpies web site is http://www.westernmagpies.com/ and they have various functions throughout the year.

Thanks everyone. IF I do make the move I'll be sure to attend some Western Magpie events.
Cheers
