Reid,N.Brown, Shaw, Swan, Pendles all very good.

Dawes was also good with some improvement to come especially keeping his feet and needs to lead at the ball carrier, but a good solid game from him.

That 22 was close to our best 22 imo, the 2 players with question marks over them is Toovey and Johnson but both played ok (toovey) and good (johnson) today. Worry about them vs the better sides Johno has no 2nd effort his break the lines is great but he gives up on the contest a lot and doesn't chase hard enough.

3 Wellingham
2 Beams
1 Cloke

Others were as good, but the early efforts of these 3 set it up.

I'll vote after seeing the game (1 am on Fox, here) but some comments:

Fantastic to see Beams and Wellingham featuring in the votes ahead of good performances by established stars, such as Dids, Pendles, Trav, Fraz etc.

I'll watch, with great interest, Pendles' 21 handpasses. Big diff handballing in desperation when tackled and creating a forward thrust with a clever pass.

3. Didak (excellent again; his disposal was pinpoint)
2. Cloke (made the difference when it counted)
1. Pendles (was great in close)

Others: Beams, Thomas, Wellingham, Maxwell

Apologies to Pendlebury, Cloke, Fraser and Thomas.

Beams recorded the 2nd highest inside 50 stats in our history which is a huge effort.

I thought he was BOG. He set up each of Cloke's first 2 goals...then kicked 1 himself.

Didak simply the class.

Wellingham's job on Watson was great...then he also killed him around the ground. Too quick, too skillful.

3. Wellingham - Fast becoming a hard, tough, skillfull midfileder. Has turned the corner since getting his head clipped by Barry Hall.

2. Cloke - Played the game that we need from him in September. Keep it going big fella!

1. Beams - Cool, calm & collected. Was a driving force all day.

Excellent games from Johnno, Pendles & Toovey whose tackiling was awesome.

Medhurst and Davis are looking a tad rusty, let's hope their best work will come later in the year.

Hard to split all the midfielders, none really stood out but the big men were sensational
