What a wonderful post - emotional but also balanced. I haven't read anything like that on Nick's for some time.
Leon is coming up to 200 games. I feel a similar sense of ownership and pride, and I agree that he is already a Collingwood legend. Yes, he has shortcomings, but no other player of the past decade has given me as much pleasure to watch as he's grown in stature.
Well done GlovemanGayfer, we're well and truly on the same page with this one. _________________ "The greatest thing that could happen to the nation is when we get rid of all the media. Then we could live in peace and tranquillity, and no one would know anything." - Sir Joh Bjelke-Petersen |

Great Post.
Leon's major problem is that he cannot carry an injury and it shows. Hopefully he is back and fit and shows why you posted what you did and how true it is. _________________ Carlscum 120 years being cheating scum |

Lets hope all the critics of a few weeks ago recant their criticsim.
But I doubt it - they are incapable of giving credit where its due. |

No mate, the critics are still there.
Leon HAS to deliver in FINALS and more impotantly THE GRAND FINAL (should we make it). Do not pump up his tyres during home and away. Home and Away games are a given for Leon, FINALS are not. _________________ COLLINGW09D |

i disagree entirely he provides great pressure but no excuses i want him to win me even 1 game to stand up when it gets tough kick not 1 goal but 3-4 in a quarter to win us a game. anyone can provide his pressure, aaron davey cyril rioli and alwyn davey i believe dick could to. but i believe dick may b able to stand up in the big games kicking the horse when its down isnt good honourable or even helpful. we would have won today without him. so i believe we can try others in his role and drop him altogether
flat track bully easy to kick goals when he does it |

wrong!
just on the fact that the 3 goals he kicked if they were gone we would have lost.
played a ripper of a game and his x-factor was a major part in our win today
well done leon |

nothing someone else couldnt have kicked. he played well im not doubting that. but i dont see him as the game breaker. and he lets u down too often. if he did that everyweek i'd b happy but he doesnt and he lets u down in big games
FACT: 2 GF's bout 1 touch. disappeared in finals.
none of this "build him up to it" crap
and when he kicked the goals we were running all over them |
