3: Jolly. Clear BOG.
2: Harry
1: Toovey

OK, you could argue that others contributed more - Swan, say, with his relentless habit of driving the ball forward, or Didak with his all-day effort and little three-goal cameo in the third - but in the end it was a whole-of-team effort and you could very sensibly give the 2 and 1 votes to just about anyone.

In fact, it would be easier to list the players that you really couldn't give a vote to: Anthony, Davis, Presti, Wellingham ... that's about it - and none of them were disgraced, they all went OK.

That leaves about 16 or 18 players to raffle the minor votes. I went for Harry because his dash and attack was a major team-lifter early on, and although he had one or two kicked on him, he continued to do good stuff all night. And Tooves for the other vote because of his relentless attack on the ball regardless of personal risk, and because of his vastly improved ball handling (Tooves, a one-touch player! Whod'a thunk it?), and becaus of his un-Toovey-like disposal. Quite possibly the best game I've seen Tooves play.
