Should win with plenty in the tank, one would think. Perhaps gene simmons will have left his tongue behind in the dressing room. ? _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Speaking of tanking, should we?. NAB GF doesn't seem to bode well for the rest of the season historically....... Nah. Let's just win everything. |

Although Brisbane might appear to be taking this pre-season cup pretty seriously, their wins so far have been over the Gold Coast, GWS (by three points!) and a clearly uninterested Hawthorn. We should win this. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Looking forward to seeing Beams, McAffer, Krakouer, young back in action..
I would suspect a few will get rested...
Swan, Pendles, Clokey? Reid obviously

NAB Cup tends to throw up surprise results and this might be one of them.
With the 6 day break, I am sure Pendles, Swanny will take a break, or play half a game. Would be great to continue to see Witts and some of the young guys play and see how they back up after a solid performance in the West.
I have to say, the thought of a Coll v Car NAB Cup Final is getting more appealing. Yes, it is the preseason, but still, its Carlton FFS..... _________________ Buzz

Throw in all kids, do not play on that ground 3 days after a concert. I don't care if we lose I would rather fit players. |

The risk of winning this game is that we will have to back up at Etihad the following week in the final, then again in round 1 before hitting the G in round 2.
3 straight on a rock hard surface is not good for players legs. |

We have a very tough start to the season. If we dont start hot things could get messy very early. _________________ Be Staunch, Be Proud, Be Collingwood |

SPOT on, play all the Pies babies, rookies, that Pommie bugger in charge of Etihad would not know if you were up him. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Keep in mind that the coaching staff said before the Who the Hell is That Cup started that they were aiming to get three matches into every player. I guess the tough part will be deciding whether players get rested next week or this week.
But I think it would be fair to say that most players who have played both week one and week two won't be there on Saturday night.
I love the thought of throwing as young a team as feasible into the lions den! We look very hungry and given how inexperienced the lineup was against Wet Toast and we still won I won't be shocked if we get home, even with a really young line up.
We shall see in a few hours I guess. _________________ Side By Side Forever |
