he is contracted till 2017 with the Swans.

So a mutual trade with Sydney will have to be done.
Do you think the Pies are looking at him? especially because the Swans have Tipett and Buddy for a really long time.
What do we have to give them in return?

Its a really interesting one, as we could have a reid at each end of the field.
Does he fit into our side?
Sam's contract was done back in 2011, way before the Swans where thinking of getting Buddy for 9 years.

I dont think they can play (Buddy/Tippett/Reid/mumford/Pike) all in the 1 team.
To be frank, Sam looks like he is playing better then Ben did at the same age. No offense Benny.

Highly Unlikely.

Our 1st Round pick will be used on Darcy Moore

Mumford is at GWS, so that helps.

I actually could see Nathan Brown come up for trade, maybe?

I don't think we need another forward after Moore though, to be honest. Maybe one more as Cloke will be bordering 30 soon.

Who knows.

If there's one thing we can count on is that if your last name is Reid there is another word that is synonymous. You guessed it! Injury.
He's only 22 and has struggled even more than Ben has his entire career. It' safe to say unless we could get a fair deal and he's willing to get payed unders, it's unlikely to happen. Goodes isn't going to be playing much longer by the looks of things, and although Pyke has done well in the ruck for the past couple of years, he's about to turn 31 I believe so that opens up room for their talls. Lastly, it's going to take some sort of miracle to keep all of their KPP's injury free throughout the next few seasons it would seem.

Would be nice to have 2 Ben Reids, we could rotate them between the team and the medical rooms.

Don't think we need to go out trading just yet, Moore is on the radar and this years draft apparently has some good tall talent.

Can we play: Cloke, White, Grundy, Witts, Reid and Reid in the one team?

Sam Reid has the potential to play in defense where the Swans are lacking talls anyway, so I don't see much of a problem for them.

Could we do a deal? Possibly. But it wouldn't be because we have a need where they have a surplus. We have more KPPs than the Swans at the moment.

Trading with Sydney is never easy. Anyone got a list of out past trades with the Swans?

Doubt we would be interested. Id rather we got Moore and maybe 1 more KPP prospect from the draft. Still plenty of years left in Cloke, Reid and White for us to develop our next generation of tall timber.

Actually we have a pretty decent record when it comes to trading with the swans.

Jolly and White in recent years come to mind.

Still I don't think Sam will be on our radar until FA kicks in, even then that's years away and more likely to not occur than occur.

Good player but would cost us one or two of those in return.

As a general rule you don't want to trade for players that are under contract.

It would be nice to have one Ben Reid!

His ongoing injuries are a worry.

Stui, that would be funny, if it wasn't such a likely scenario with our luck. Confused

Trade for another tall? there's only 1 option for me, Jeremy Cameron.

Heaps of potential & a mad Pies fan.

My memory is it's quite one way, Jolly and White excepted although White needs more than 9 games to be a good pickup..

We've sent a few their way:

Schauble
Williams
Davis
Shaw

Off the top of my head and have a recollection of them trading a bloke to us who'd lost interest in footy and never showed.
