I went to Vic Park on Saturday to watch the Pies seconds destroy Geelongs seconds. It was a majestic victory.

However, i couldn't buy a pie. i could buy a gourmet fricking hot dog but no pies.

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!!!!!

An outrage!

A few years back at Etihad I went to buy some pies and found they had no tomato sauce.

Another outrage!

Meat pies are Aussie rules.

when they first started selling foreign foods at the g years ago, i foolishly bought nachos. the lady poured some corn chips on a plastic plate. meat sauce = extra, salsa = extra, cheese = extra, sour cream = extra, guacamole = extra. i may have sworn at her.

But they still had meat pies for sale!

Yep, and washed them down with a Diet Coke.

Take your own pies, wrap them in foil and reheat them on one of the BBQ's. Razz

Na, it was Fruity Lexia. Hiss would have been worn down to a nub Saturday night.

Is the fish and chip shop still there on the corner of Hoddle and Johnston St?

Minimum chips and two potato cakes for $5 - problem solved.

Guys this is serious. My first part time job was as a pie boy at VFL park in the early 80's. But before I could graduate to 4 n 20's I had to sell.... Lovebites!

I shit you not. They came in berry or apple. I think they still have em at fish n chip shops. I soon moved onto pies and then claimed my own stall selling 'drinks, lollies, chocolates and potato chips'. I had the call down to a fine art.

Loved it when the magpies were playing. Apart from free entry to the footy, I just unbuttoned my pie coat to reveal my black and white brandella footy jumper and hung near the cheer squad which guaranteed high sales volumes and grouse tips!

You got a pass to which allowed you to go anywhere which meant after the game you could get into the rooms and score autographs.
