Ok, here goes -
In : Karnezis, Maxwell, Martin (if fit), Elliott (if fit)
Out : Dwyer, Grundy, Toovey, Thomas.
This one really is a season-defining game; lose this, and we are a good chance to miss the finals for the first year since 2005. Swanny, I love you and all that you have done, but something's not right and if you can't perform this week, you need a rest.

Team's shown it has the mettle this year.
Has it gone though? Is it over? Can there be a resurrection to the spirited and quality performances demonstrated earlier this season?

As always a danger game. The Little Bombers (darling of the legal profession) will be cock-a-hoop after last night. But I read more into Port's loss than Essendon's win. Port has been completely out of form since their loss to Sydney a month ago.
We should beat the Bombers. If our players have any pride left they will want to prove something and win.

Im hoping our blokes will bite back hard against em, and play like maniacs, as most teams do in season defining games, ala the Kangaroos against the hawks. Drop this one, and things could get very, very ugly around here, very ugly indeed, as the "perceptive fellow" unleash the hounds. sigh.

Essendon are very easy to shut down. They've struggled to kick above 10 goals in any game this year. You think our forward line's a worry? Just be glad it's not Essendon's.
If we play tight we win this game, simple. They lack for scoring power and we have enough to get over them.
Maxwell's the inclusion I think we most need. Organisation at the back has become a problem and we need Maxy to help fix it. Grundy out for white is the other obvious move. Hoping also that Ball is fit. We badly missed his leadership in the middle, and Adams more than most.
The only other possible in I could see is Karnezis. Will depend on whether he's match fit enough. I'd suspect he's not, but we may just take the chance anyway if Elliot does not return. Broomhead is maybe another, but we've been struggling because we're too young, getting younger doesn't make a lot of sense.
This will be a tight, low scoring affair. Pies to win by 17 points.
